The legend uploads again. Absolutely love your reviews, how come you don't have at least 100,000 subs? On the side note, when you review old sealed sets, make sure to film sealed bags and contents a lil bit more, because that's what matters the most in old sealed sets. You can google built sets, but rarely see the actual factory contents. Keep it coming!
Dude... yet another review of a classic set I always wanted but never had. I came to your channel for classic castle reviews, and I'm staying for these absolute gems of sets I always wanted. Another great review. This was one of the first sets I remember practically drooling over in the Lego catalogs as a kid lol. My mom did kind of find this set for Christmas one year, but it was a used one from eBay and was very incomplete. It had the monster truck and ATV, but was missing the trike and at least one minifigure. No baseplate, some parts of the build were there but with some alternate pieces, and overall kind of disappointing (although I definitely appreciated the effort my mom put into trying to find a discontinued set for me back in the day). This set is definitely on my list to buy a complete version of now that I'm an adult, mostly for the nostalgia, although I do really enjoy the looks of the set.
I also remember Xtreme Team being kind of the first theme I tried to collect all of, and this was the one set that I needed to complete that collection (there might have been one or two others, but this was the big one). Kind of a holy grail set for me.
The 6x10 rubber boat in yellow debuted in the "Divers" theme the year before this, and was in use until two years ago, with its final appearance being in a City set (60266) that year. This was also the first of two system-style sets to have the larger hot rod's 8x20 wheels in white. Nearly every other set containing it, including its final appearance (8282) in 2006 was a Technic set.
my first big purchase. As a kid i was told ot buy it myself and saved 50 dollars for it. Wish i still had all my old legos and not lose each and every single one
Glad to see you back with some reviews of old lego! I spent so much time looking at pictures of these sets in my childhood, it's great to see them in action. Do you think of reviewing some more castle sets in the future? Or are you done with that theme?
I'm familiar with the theme, but not this set, so it's awesome to watch such a great in-depth review. I dig the tent cloth, and the yellow plank tiles! Love your videos, so hoping to see many more classic set reviews
