They are all neat. I don’t care what anyone else thinks though, I like the museum the most. The exterior design, the colors used, the size, and the overall layout seems to make the most sense. 👌

Good video but a lot of your complaints seemed very subjective instead of objective. Lego won’t ever put a bar in a set. I know music clubs that do other types of music than what they are known for or other acts, but they are still known for a certain type of music mainly. I love the micro builds in the museum. Not sure how you would should the evolution of the minifigures other than a sticker in that space. I would rather have the builds. I believe the gray pieces on the trees in the museum are supposed to represent metal bands that are sometimes used to contain tree growth and expansion. You see that often in a city, especially near public buildings where they need to control the foliage. You made some good points for sure, but many just seemed like “I would want this instead,” which is easy to do with any set in hindsight.

Good points about the Police Station. You really have to suspend a lot of disbelief with an apartment only accessible by a fire escape ladder! And the station is small, but this is Lego, where things are often far smaller than their real-world counterparts. But I'd argue that the sand green wing of the station both breaks up the tan monotony of the main central structure and also gives the illusion from the front of it being its own little building, akin to the purple section to the left, and this makes for a more diverse, vibrant street scene when it looks like three distinct buildings crammed onto one base plate.

Regarding the Jazz Club, that's another one where logic goes out the window in favor of broad suggestion. And making a realistic jazz club really falls outside Lego's unyielding family-friendly vibe: I can see, from their perspective, why there is no bar or suggestion of alcohol, but that makes the whole jazz club concept hard to buy into.

In my opinion the natural history museum is probably the worst out of them. I think the Boutique Hotel is the only one that has something special about it so it's my favorite. I disliked the Jazz Club a lot when it came out but it has grown on me as well. I still wouldn't buy it though. The police station is a bit meh to me. It's great overall but just lacks character imo. But I think it's still better than the museum. I just don't like the museum for some reason, mainly because I would've designed it way differently. Especially the choices with the interior layout is really weird to me.

Nice video. When the jazz club came out earlier this year I was really happy because at that time I was just about to build a moc pizza shop but with the jazz club having a pizza shop built with it I no longer had to do that also it solved my longest placement problem ever being the left side of the diner. The one placement for the museum that I don't think will work at all will be with the perisan restaurant since both buildings are the same colors.

Yeah agreed with too much olive green between the two. It would be dubbed as The(Olive)GreenBrick St.

@thegreenbrick Yeah. I am thinking the left side of the hotel and the palace cinema on the right wouldn't look to bad.

Wow, I really like what you did with the Jazz club to make it more of a bar/club vibe! It's obvious why they didn't go with that in the first place but since Lego is all about creativity I like how you worked around it to make it more "realistic"

I own the Police Station & Hotel but I’ll hold off until a rainy tay to build them. I’m not in love with the Jazz Club, but I might pick one up as the color palette and architecture breaks up the similarities of the others while simultaneously fitting in somehow. I’ll definitely get the Museum at some point.

When you make the video of the combinations with other modulars, put it in the middle of birch books and the town house. I think they would look particularly good, and even better if we made the cherry tree be in autumn. :)

For sure! Love his work and the inclusion of his fig with the museum. It would be cool if we got a Jamie Berard fig as well.

I actually altered my city plans to have a 6-stud alley way on each side of the museum because it looks so much better without buildings butting up against it. Just my opinion.

Agreed! I actually plan on spacing most of my buildings apart with roads, alleys, or grass in between.

The museum is my least favorite. I have the other 3 and will probably get the museum eventually, but I’m not totally enthused by the exterior and scale (I would have been willing to pay $100 or so more for a larger museum)

I am amazed that you built these set and they are not on MILS plates. I put my modular sets on MILS plates and it make a lot of difference.

Although they are cool, Lego cold create a line of lego that didn't care so much with the interior. Who buy these are adults and for display purpose, the interior doesn't care so much. Mostly cities are shelf cities

Guys I have the diner and garage which should I get that is awesome and will look good with them

I don’t have the corner garage for comparison, but would recommend the Boutique Hotel. This way you have 2 corner Modulars flanking the Diner. The Boutique Hotel is a must have set in my opinion!
