So, I am from The Netherlands and I can confirm that was not a typo. LEGO is insanely expensive here, but there is a VERY lively second hand market with great deals always nearby since we are a very small country :) And those deals are most of the time better than the ones I see on international Facebook groups, so I guess that compensates. Great video again, we need more of them!
The 2014 and 2018 ones actually look good next to each other. All it needs is some moving around to move the bar sections next to each other and you’ve got a nice cantina set up
In Belgium (where i live) is the 75205 Mos Eisley Cantina 59.99 euro's (71.etc. UCD) in the lego shop, but you could problably buy it in stores for like 49.99 (61 USD). That sounds expensive but in Europe (or Belgium and the Netherlands alone) is this an okay price. Btw the Death star here is like 613.827723 USD. So take that in mind.
This just gave me the idea to combine all of the ones I have my 8 2003 sets my other 8 from 2014 and my 8 from 2017 but I will use my all 8 of my set land speeders and use the cantina ones too but I have 8 of each Lego sets so I might use all my sets and make stop motion with all my extra minifigures I don't need in walking around mos eisly and some jawas at that one huge thing that rolls I forgot the name
Unfortunately it's not a typo: € 60,- in the Netherlands... Damn you, LEGO! At this moment it is only available at Shop@home and Toys-R-Us (€ 46,-). Note: you mixed up the set numbers :-)
'sale' I don't know about the other Dutch people but we practically get no sales here, there's only one store that sells it left and they're known for adding just 2 euros to the price for no reason to begin with, they barely know what a 'sale' is, they're more likely to take it from the shelves unsold than to put them on sale
The 2004 speeder color is the now tragically retired Sand Red. Of the sets the 2014 is head and shoulders the best. 2004 is great as a classic. The only purpose to the 2018 set is to get Wuhrer the Bartender. Given the sets cost, just BrickLink him and put him in the 2014.
2018 cantina isn't a good investment. The 2014 was better in every aspect. Bigger, better, more minifigs, dewback, speeder and overall design. RP of 80€ back then here in Germany, sells for 100-110€ on eBay right now. Taking all these things into consideration, the 2018 will probably stay below retail or just reach retail after it retires.
