In this video I discuss the decrease in size of lego star wars sets over the years and why I think this is the BIGGEST Problem with LEGO Star Wars. I hope you enjoy this video!
Totally unfortunate af. I normally don’t mind smaller sets, but I just picked up the new gunship and it was so much smaller than I thought it’d be. Even my mom who doesn’t care much for Legos was surprised by how small it was for the price. Like bruh ☠️
If Lego does remake this set for a reasonable price, I’m actually so fine with this set as long as it keeps the previous positives and any new and better modifications
yep, this is why I would rather collect the older sets than the newer ones. I honestly wouldn't mind if they would make the sets the same size, and charge more. But they can't seem to do that either
I can understand why Lego shrunk the new gunship since I think the gunship is about the same size as the gunships from clone wars but the 2013 is definitely accurate size to live action gunships
their focusing too much on accuracy, but yeah i agree with making them more affordable for kids, I own the 2019 Slave 1,it doesnt have too much play-features but its the most accurate version excluding the UCS one from 2016
i think the 2021 slave one is amazing value, it isn't that much smaller holding both in hand and it's a fun thing to display and play for so much less $$$
Great points which Lego needs to learn about part optimization like what MOC builders have to deal with.... And to add they are less willing to make new pieces for a Lego Star Wars set as edvdnced in the lack of printed pieces, unique minifigs and them even saying it outload with the gunship. Likely this is because of cost on the back end... But then again they are fine with it in the Minecraft and Mario themes.
Please dust your sets before starring them in vids, thanks. :) You don't have to like lego the company. From following it as a collector, i think its equally true that they're part saving because they can, ie people will buy it anyway especially for the star wars theme. Given inflation especially in aus this year, it seems that lego is getting ignored even faster than pets, so hopefully they'll get closer to fair value for pieces of pressure moulded plastic. Its so encouraging to see the 200 ish and poor effort licensed sets on permanent discount at sep 23. ... If i could find some rationale to "support" lego for what they provide, i would, but i can't, the pricing is a joke.
It's called freedom of expression buddy. When an entity displays a level of quality that people like, it's the people's right to expect at the very least the same amount of quality for something just as or even more expensive. And just because he's making criticism doesn't mean he's ungrateful... he bought the sets. They are now a part of his collection, it's not like he's going to throw them away. As someone who is spending his earned money on this product, he has all the right in the world to make an informed and polite critique. No one is perfect, including the company you're defending. It just bugs me how people think wanting a level of quality previously displayed automatically registers as hateful and annoying.
@@thisisthisis542 the literal only issue with lego Star Wars is the neckbeard fans who suck up to Mandr and Lifebricks and take their takes as gospel. There’s always someone complaining about literal plastic and it’s so fucking annoying
@@aliciaserrano9698 What I’m trying to say is that the hive mentality that lego Star Wars fans have is ruining the theme. I’m not saying people aren’t entitled to their own opinions, I’m saying that you shouldn’t bully people for differentiating from the norm
