I gotta say, its pretty awesome that even his melee is a reference. The combo he uses is from Sonic The Fighters, and the finisher at the end is a finisher from Sonic Battle.

The way the lines are delivered, i have a feeling they literally put sonic and eggman’s VAs in a room and told them to try and do better egg puns against each other. The laughs seem so genuine to the point they can’t even complete some of the lines normally

We definitely need another Lego Game that is pure Sonic the Hedgehog, and have it where Sonic meets up with multiple versions of himself & other characters throughout all forms of media, the video games, the cartoons, the comic books, the movies, and be full of references galore.

I really like eggman and sonic's character here, he's kinda like joker and batman where one causes trouble and the other stops them and they eventually have some sort of bond.

If this was Sonic Generations with this much story and nostaglic references, it would be 100%

Tails was more useful here than in the last 20 years of the franchise.

The "this is better than any recent Sonic game" comments are hilarious. Had this been an official Sonic game by Sega before Frontiers, people would be complaining stuff like: -Sonic is too slow -Constant references (people already tearing their hair out with a handful of references in Frontiers. This DLC is just full-on reference galore) -Having simplistic combat mechanics (the speed of Frontiers' combat is fast and fitting for Sonic, yet people took a long while to warm up to it) -muh momentum -Sonic is only playable (Frontiers is at least getting new playable characters, and even FORCES had multiple playable characters) -Forgettable music (I doubt anyone remembers the original music tracks here as people still remember a lot of Forces' OST) -Green Hill again (at the very least, Mania remixed the layouts and added the underground part, Forces made it destroyed and desolate, TSR mobile made it a race track, and Frontiers had the cyberspace aesthetic) -Simplistic plot (People complained about it with Lost World already, even when disregarding the dialogue. I doubt people would let it slide if this is a Sega-published Sonic game) -Not being a traditional Sonic game (The only traditional Sonic thing here is the aesthetic)
