I'll be honest; I haven't watched one of your videos for a couple of months now. However, coming back to them after watching so many other RU-vid videos and channels just made me appreciate yours all the more. Not only is your content right up my alley, but the presentation is fantastic. Your voice is at the right volume and perfect for this type of channel, and the video it's always crisp and clear and you detail everything that needs to be shown in detail. Also, the fact that you can genuinely see both sides of an issue, such as the printing on Boba Fett's arms, makes me happy as a human being. I also worked for quite some time to get my own UCS set, yes I also think the fact that everything new should be made available from then on, instead of reverting back to an older, perhaps inferior, version just to appease a tiny, but very vocal minority. Anywho, thank you sincerely for sharing your passion with us viewers, and please keep up the good work.

To me, thats the best Slave 1! -Strong Build -The size is perfect to Play and Expose -Perfectly detailed -Cool Cargo Hold -Gravity Cockpit and Wing -Rotate Guns -Place to hold -Incredible Minifigs -Original Leia to collect And last but not least: -FINALLY ZUCKUSS

The extra $20 is the Disney tax. I agree you about the 20th Anniversary print. It is far too big. They could have bumped down the font size by 5pts and it would have been much better. On the other hand I do understand why they put that print on there. They are protecting the collectable value of the originals.

Just going to mention this, as I have seen nobody mention this yet, but the blaster that comes with the anniversary figures are the wrong colour, they originally had orange studs on thier blasters, and not blue.

Why is it so difficult for LEGO to release generic buildings (rebel base/imperial outpost/mos eisley market) or a battle pack with a dewback or bantha?

I don’t like that the the big engine got split into 2 engines because of the handle

I had the original Slave 1 back in the day, which really doesn't compare to today's model, but it was still very cool to get it. This new Slave 1 looks really amazing, details and the features are very cool, the price is quite high in my opinion, but I think it will be worth it. Cool review, Jang!

Worth buying. The Legos hold pretty well instead of falling off apart and you can play with it while using the handle on the back. It's amazing.

The back of the box calls the anniversary figs 'an exact replica'. That's a lie.

Wondefull model. I too have the UCS (one of my favorite for exposition), and this one is really beautiful. I strongly hesitate to buy this one... Thanks for the review.

I bought all 5 of the 20th anniversary sets. I got and build them yesterday and I still really love the Slave 1 build.

This anniversary sets brings me so much memories that I'm about to cry. The original x wing from like 2005 was my first set and I was a really young boy, I was 6. On the back of the box were pictured also the Millennium Falcon, the Slave 1 and the snowspeeder and I dreamt to own them for so much time

This showed up on the shelves of my local Mastermind the other day, and at first I was hesitant because of how high the price is but having seen your review I think I'm going to have to pick this up once I've got a coupon.

Funny that they keep up with the idea of the rotating cockpit, when we see Boba lie down in the seat when he boards the Slave I in Episode II. I built a stationary seat into my custom rebuild of set 6209.

I got the slave one from 2010 I think. This set is super nostalgic as that slave one was one of the first Lego sets I got.

They have reserved the Boba with arm printing for the UCS styled sets, because this is one of the normal star wars system sets it will not have arm printing. Ex) snowspeeder arm printing

Star Wars legos are too much money, glad to see them making something more affordable for the people who really want models like these.

I am going to buy this because I Had the chance to buy the UCS version but passed it up and I’ve always regretted it so thank you for showing me that this set is almost just as good so now I know I want if for sure

Kudos to you for video awesomely done!!! I'm most definitely buying this set (mostly) because of the highly anticipated Zuckuss minifigure and so I can modify my UCS set into Jango Fett's Slave 1 ship (another Star Wars set that LEGO needs to create)!! The Gand bounty hunter will be most honored to join the Bounty Hunters Seven (which I've displayed on my Super Star Destroyer set)!! I due want to point out that, do to the unique shape of the Firespray-class patrol ship, the "forward" position is reversed and you mentioned about seating Boba Fett in the "normal" forward position at one point, which would be backwards. I am impressed with the new handle piece (like the one on the Ninjago Ultra Dragon set), and my only disturbance in the force is the big hole behind it (and missing the big radar dish as well). But I understand it had to do with spacing but it still could be an annoyance for display purposes (but expect brick builders like ourselves can find a way to camouflage it). Overall, this is going to be an impressive addition to my collection! Can wait to spend some of my hard earned money on it. As always, please continue with the great work you do!!!! ... And may the fourth be with you, always!!!!

I like the simultaneous movement of the wings and pilot seat. It just would have been better if it wasn't just by gravity, so the wings wobble around the whole time, but connected with the handle. Maybe this can be converted with some additional gears.

The print on Bobo Fetts back looks like one of the We Bear Bears characters.

What was lego thinking with the engines ?? It's supposed to be one long engine at the top not split in two . I usually don't care for carrying handles as long as they don't affect details or accuracy of the ship . But this bothers me very much . They should've included pieces to at least complete the engine if you don't want the handle

You are right about it being close to the UCS set. I sold my UCS as this looks just as good but is smaller and easier to display. That handle just finishes it off as a great set

I'm pretty sure this is the $100 box size. I wonder if it's $120 so when they go on sale for 20% off it's $96, which is much closer to what you should be paying Pretty much every set goes for 20% off these days.

I dont have space fot ucs builds, I have been waiting for this. Remember they have to have discounted offers and sales that is why things are at less value at the release. Here in sweden we almost have 20% off all the time (there is always a online store with a sale or discountcode), that makes the recommended price pritty random. The only sets that are at recommended prices are the exclusive legoshop sets.

As far as I know, the arm printing was exclusive on purpose for the Boba Fett in the UCS Model of the Slave One, to make the model even more special.

I would love to see a video of this and the UCS version compared! (I'm trying to decide if I want to get this. I really don't care about the build all that much, but hearing you praise the process, that gives me a benefit of a doubt. What I am truly interested in is the Minifigures. Specifically Zuckuss, given he is an exclusive, and the Bespin Han Solo, of which I do not already have a version of.

I only have the newer AT-AT but I had to get this last night. Knew I would hate myself in the future if I didn't.

This will make a fine addition to my collection.

Lego ahould have done a smaller 20th logo printed on the minifig arm. That way you could have an orginal look with the acurrate torso prints, plus a cool bonus exclusive arm print. Also that would let people pop and swap lego arms to get a cheaper classic star wars fig.

I kinda like that Boba doesn’t have arm printing. I have four Bobas and each have their own unique prints and detailing to them all. I like that no two are the same in my collection. Each are special. That’s how I see it anyway.

I think the set is awesome, but I'm going to wait to see if I could get it for under 100 dollars then I would pick it up. I recently picked up the used 2006 version slave 1 so I can wait for a while.

I am with you on your assessment of the arm printing. I think this set is expensive enough they could have and should have included the printing on the arms.

I already have the UCS Slave I, so I don’t think I’ll be picking this one up (even though it looks awesome). I will be getting some of the smaller sets though, especially the remake of the Imperial Dropship
