I've improved my animation quality since I made this video! Watch my latest Lego stop motion here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cq-EvuVcoNU.html
Yea...that's one thing that always bothers me about (particularly Lego) movies in general: soldiers' armor is basically ignored, even though historically armor is actually very effective. For example, a soldier in full plate armor is almost untouchable as far as medieval weapons are concerned. Thanks for noticing and for watching this!
NICE! That was really cool. I was surprised at the smoothness of the fighting parts. And the shooting arrow effect is really good too! This reminds me of stuff I used to make.
Thank you; however I do know that the actual battle is quite unrealistic (a low wall, people on the wall being killed by people on the ground, heavy infantry on the wall, etc.) I will make much more realistic battles in the future.
Im rechecking this animation for references since i am going to relive my childhood passion to stop motion with minifigs and I must say, years of knowledge to medieval and historical stuff, seeing that arrow bounce off on that helmet is satisfying
Yea, that always bothered me in movies when people just stab or shoot right through armor. I intentionally made armor as realistic as I could here, and in future videos I'm going to try to be even more historically accurate. Thanks for noticing!
@@TheWhitmers ahh knowing you do your research and provide even a slightest bit of realism and historical accuracy is just satisfying Would love to see more
@@dreysantillan I've got a lot of projects I'm working on, but the medieval ones will definitely be as realistic as possible (with my limited knowledge and research capabilities, of course, but I'll do my best). I can't say exactly when I'll be done, but hopefully it's within a reasonable time.
@@TheWhitmers all the best of luck to you! I too am doing stop motions for the past month but I'm on break Dretiganbrickanimations on IG, currently busy due to school works
@@dreysantillan I can relate. I haven't uploaded a stop motion in over a year . . . well, good luck, stay safe, and I would love to see any stop motions you make!
I found your videos and I subscribed after watching this one. Personally I'm not a fan of using the clay, but you used it really well. The entire thing kept me guessing. The whole potion part was really nice. Just so much I enjoyed.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that. I actually am not a fan of using clay either, but back when I made this battle I couldn't see any way around it (I have since then invented a magnetic system of sticking arrows in things without using clay).
I like how you only have two black falcons so you make it seem like you have like 20 same with crusaders, you only had like 4 or 5ish but you made it seem like you had alot
Thanks. Since I made this, I have gained many, many more soldiers of these factions. I am preparing to make a full-length stop motion based on a book I and a friend are writing
