I saw the Voltron today at the Chicago lego store. A sales associate was walking around with it in his hand. It looked crazy cool. I am defiantly buying one.
I'll definitely be buying a LEGO Voltron. I have the original Bandai one. He was called 'Golion' back then. Just judging from the pictures, they did a superb job, and I like the changes the Ideas team made to the submitted model. I fully plan to design some of the accessories that are not included in the set : individual mouth blades for each lion, shoulder armaments, etc. Any way you slice it, it's gonna be a lot of fun. :D
That Bandai GOLION was a treasure. Well built. Worth the money it cost. The market was flooded with cheap Chinese made Voltrons and knockoffs that lasted maybe one week.
Yes. You know your stuff. All in the Godaikin series were treasures. Lots of metal. I wish I had more, but they were horribly expensive. 'Golion, 'Daltanius', ''Abega, 'Vots V', Daimos', & 'Dynaman', I have in pretty mint condition. Boxes, instructions, the whole shmear. I have a few abused ones too, like 'Godsigma' & 'God Mars'. Really wonderful toys though. Built to last..
I remember them all. We got GOLION for our son for Christmas. There was a specialty store in Toronto Canada that carried them. I missed getting the "other Voltron" which I believe in Japan was "Combatler 15", where 15 vehicles made a giant robot as well. The TV show was released as Voltron second series. I will be getting 2 of these Voltrons. One for my memories and one for my son, so he can also remember.
in England it costs £160 In Germany its 180 euro In Australia its $280 and in the Netherlands its 190 euro please look ok the website for international prices as it can be a confusing for those who hadn't seen the price for there country
I believe he has listed the other prices in terms of US dollars, rather than the actual currency of the countries. 160 pounds UK is 213 USD and 239 CDN is 178 US dollars. 213 and 178 are the amounts shown and they match up with the USD equivalents.
Yep. I will agree that we disagree. I think the rip offs are some of the Star Wars sets. Since Disney now holds the license it seems the prices have risen. The Star Wars yearly calendar set for one.
I will say that if you are a fan of the robot (show) then perhaps you will see the value. For me, not so much. I just compare the Apollo Saturn V at $149 Canadian and see so much more value.
I used to watch the show with my son as well as TMNT, so it brings back memories. I will also be getting him one of them. The Saturn V was a good value for the price. My wife and I buy LEGO on a what we like basis so the sets we have vary.
Big Bang theory is not mini figure set and bombshell the ucs millennium falcon is not the biggest Lego set go on Google images and type in chima ultimate battle and yes it does count
Chima Ultimate Battle is just a bigger box with all of the smaller Chima boxes inside. When I put my LEGO sets in boxes when I move they don't suddenly become the largest LEGO set ever, they're still individual.
You can disagree all you want, but it's just a LEGO Superpack/Value Pack collection and not a unique set. Google those up and you'll see that they've done them for everything from Friends to Star Wars. A new number is just for inventory purposes. Let me go tape my UCS Falcon box to my Ghostbuster's HQ box and then I'll sell you the actual largest LEGO set ever according to your standards, should clock in around 12,000 pieces. They're still separate sets, just like the Superpack/Value Pack collections.
