2015 was a great year for LEGO Star Wars! They kicked off the year with an AMAZING UCS Slave 1 set, plenty of great Star Wars sets from The Phantom Menace, Rebels, & Return Of The Jedi, and the year was rounded out with sets based off Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens! I feel like the battle droid carrier with all those droids was a subtle apology from LEGO with the disappointment with the MTT from the previous year.

I REALLY liked the original Hail Fire Missile Droid from late 2000. I liked how you built the treads using Technic Motorcycle chain and wrapped that around a couple of clear disks for the effect off the wheels. THAT's actually building right there. 👍👍

I have the Naboo starfighter set. I love the extra doodads and think that it was totally worth the $50 price tag. There's just so much play functionality with the characters and set props.

Great list Ryan. I have that UCS Slave I but have not built it yet. Looking forward to doing so, I was surprised some of the buildable figures were so high on the list, but you’re right about those looking decent. Overall I don’t have any issues with this list. Thanks for putting it together.

The best part about the FO snow speeder was that they didn’t need to put any obnoxious named characters for the sake of adding them, it was just a battle pack with a big build.

If you didn't know the shadow troopers and gaurds are from the Force Unleashed I. In it the black gaurds are trained by Vader to use the force and carry some sort of lightsaber pike. (In game they are a mini boss that keeps coming back.) As they fight you shadow troopers surrounded you, but can be killed easy. If Lego meant this to be a set off of the video game, idk. But Lego did already make a Force Unleashed Set in 2008 so, it's not to hard to believe they would do it agian. My older brother is a HUGE Lego fan and has rare Star wars sets form 1999, or 2004, and A LOT of Harry Potter. I only started in 2014 my first set was this monster truck mini thing. The shadow troopers speeder was my second or third set I got. And i still have it built in 2020 (i did have to rebuild it).

This was my favorite lego star wars year just for the fact that the $25 AAT was my first lego set and I got the droid carrier from my grandfather as a present which he also died that year. So that droid carrier has a very special spot on my shelf that brings back a lots of memorys.

I got to say looking back we got way too many sets that include flame Troopers for the sequel trilogy. I am not a fan of a flame Trooper, so I'm very glad that none of the episode 9 sets include them

The Rebel's speeder set is great for custom speeders. I took the Stormtrooper's bike and made something new using the old 2014 car base. And with the parts I didn't use, I made into a refueling station with a spotlight.

My favourite is the Grievous that I luckily own, loved the Slave 1 and always regretted not getting one. The Sith Infiltrator is on my list of things to keep an eye out for.

The reason general grievous looks so good is because the buildable figures look robot like because of the way the limbs connect and Grievous is pretty much a robot

I love the naboo star fighter set I think for 50 it's a GREAT set. Builds an army a bit, gives you (now) slightly harder to get figures (looking at the droid commander imo) and you get a bunch of stuff to help you really recreate the scene if you want that or contribute heavily to a MOC. Wish I had gotten it back in '15. I also wish I had gotten the UCS tie fighter but I did get the slave 1.

In my opinion this was the last year that my brother and I bought Lego Star Wars sets we took a step away from Lego Star Wars in 2016. 2016-2019 Lego Star wars wasn't that great anymore. But in 2020 I got back into it but my brother did not.

And also I wanna let you know that The Shadow Guards are from The Force Unleashed, and the Shadow Troopers are from Battlefront (2015), and the LIUV Speeder is from a Deleted scene from the Force Awakens.

This was 2015?! This was the year I got back into lego Star Wars. I missed out on so much. I got the tie fighter, x wing, and slave 1. Wish I got like 6 more of them this year 😂

The UCS Slave 1 might be almost my top set of all time. It's by far my favorite Lego SW display set I own. There might be better sets but I missed them or couldn't get them.
