Do worst sets, best minifigures, worst minifigures, best priced-set, worst-priced set, most underrated set, most overrated set and best non-ucs sets of each year
The UCS Slave 1 really is amazing. I was never a fan of Bona Fett or Madalorians in general, and it was never my favourite ship, but the Lego model is just so perfect that I can't stop staring at it when I see it on my shelf. I would definitely regret if I didn't get it.
2007 was one of the best years for lego star wars. my personal favorite was the trade federation MTT. I saw it on the shelves in the toy store and I couldn't buy it at the time. but a lot of years later I ordered it and it was one of the best buys I ever did. I also like the limited edition republic cruiser.
The Republic Dropship was also compatible with the AT-TE (sold separately). Though an honorable mention has to go out to the Death Star with 24 minigfigures. I always wanted that since the month of release, though I am not sure how much use I'd get out of it now as an adult.
I totally agree with u on cloud city. That one was long overdue, so iconic great design, great minifigures. Seriously after '03 why didn't they make a cloud city earlier.
I still can’t believe that they made such a good star destroyer in 2001 but then things like the guship and the play scale star destroyer with the hole in the control section
I was a huge Lego fan as a kid through the 80s and 90s, but it was Star Wars and other licensed sets that were the reason that I lost interest. Looking back on the first few years of Lego Star Wars, I still don't think they're too great. I feel like it wasn't until the end of the 2000s that Lego Star Wars really started to come into its own in terms of really locking down the designs and quality of their sets, builds, and minifigures, and by 2012~2013, I feel like the Lego Star Wars series really hit its peak. That's around the time I started to notice how nicely designed the sets were and from then on I became a collector of the theme. Now in 2019, I feel like Star Wars is really one of the best current Lego themes, at least for adult collectors.
Hi M&R I think it is a shame, that the UCS sets were included in this list, since they often will be much more interesting than any other sets from the same year. In my opinion it would have been more fun to only choose between the normal sets. I still enjoyed the video. Keep up the good work 🙂
I got the UCS Slave 1 last year on my birthday and it is beautiful. I had no idea it was so close to retiring, I guess I was lucky I chose it for my birthday.
For 2007 the motorized AT-AT has to be your nostalgia mistaking you. The walking feature isn't that great, while in that year we got what has to be the all-time best single-purchase army building lego set ever: the 2007 MTT. The amount of droids you got in that one let you have a standing army immediately, it had a very decent price and good playability. Despite being released at a lower price than the motorized AT-AT, its current prices are far higher than the current AT-AT prices.
Wow. I have a LOT of Star Wars LEGO; I don't have a single one of these! I have the newer Republic Gunship and no UCS sets, but I have mostly every other non-UCS set that you didn't mention haha
Too be honest, you should've added the Republic Gunship. I have this set and it is abslutely BANGER. It really should've out ranked the Star Destroyer.
Maybe consider redoing this list, but excluding UCS sets. They’re great, I even like the Hoth and Cloud City if I’m honest, but make a list for the regular sets! I think that’s what we all came here to watch.
i remember when i had to have eye drops for the first time, i was crying and refusing so much that my mum had to bribe me with one of the lego landspeeders, i think the one released around 2010 Edit: also i remember my nan buying me loads of expensive sets, let the Clone Wars Frigate (the one with Wolffe), the Malevolence, and the First Order AT-AT (though i would have preffered an imperial one) and i think the U-Wing. and the Falcon, as she bought me EVERY initial Force Awakens set (except Kylo Ren's Shuttle)
Yo, I just discovered this channel! I'm no collector, but I had so many SW Lego sets growing up. While I do think many of the Technic episode I sets look wack, the 8002 Destroyer droids look amazing.
Ahhh 7676 the one build that got away I was 8 years old and very inexperienced in building and I couldn’t figure out a couple steps in a row and gave up I even asked one of my friends and my dad for help and no one could figure it out, 11 years later and I have no idea where all the pieces are and it’s too expensive to buy again that is my sad story for the day lol
the 2013 ucs x wing is only kinda good but the main flaw is the turbines are the same size as the minifigure/play scale x wing which just makes it look weird :/
I just got back into lego star wars about 6 months ago and have about half of these sets. I think that the MTT from 2007 should be the best and also i wish i was in 2013 cause 2013 and 2014 had literally some of the best sets ever
For 2019 I’d like a remake of the Super Star Destroyer and a 501st battle pack. I hope that LEGO makes all the mini figures straight up 501st troopers. Not any specific commanders like Captain Rex so no one gets duplicate figures.
I hope im not the only one who actually really likes the Hoth UCS set. Cause Im not a detailist on small things. Idc about the fact that the shield generator has only 3 panels and the fact the Wompa cant go inside his cave. The Ton Ton is a nice figure and so is the Wompa. Also the snow speeder looks really nice. Its your list an dim not judging but in my opinion the cloud city UCS set doesnt deserve the the best set of 2019 the Y-Wing or Ti-Fighter are better candidates for the 1st place of 2019. Ofc Im not hating, jusít saying my thoughts.
Bro 2012 with R2D2?! Where’s the Malevolence?! Only separatist ship that looks excellent and has great playability, with the holder, and amazing mini figures to go with it
