Leh Keen driving a 74 Porsche RSR in the 2014 LeMans Classic 

The difference between a pro and an amateur - Leh was giving so much away in power but gaining it all back with stunning car control and race craft. Inspiring to watch (for us amateurs!)

Damnnnnn he drives freaking agressive but hes like really careful and checks his side mirrors compared to the other douchebag drivers who wont let him pass and dont pay attention to anything but their front and sides ._.

The momentum maintained by smoothness and sheer good driving is a joy to watch and makes some of the other drivers look ragged and clumsy by comparison.

Having a lot of experience driving old 911s I gotta say, you're one hell of a driver. It takes big balls to drive them on the edge that well, you deserve that win for sure!

Race track:Circuite de la Sarthe. just 4 miles short of length of the Nurburgring its claimed its fare amount of lives due to High speed straights ending in sudden low speed turns. Your reaching access of upto 170-205mph (depending on the vehicle) then down to 40-60mph to a turn some have not prep quick anough to make it. AMAZING TRACK

+mojostevo A 959 was raced back in 1986 and 1987 but the competition version was called a 961.

Fabulous footage. He’s faster than the other guys everywhere but the straights and that’s not his fault! Great driving, wonderful car. Great racing. Bloody awful driving position in these old 911s - look at the roll cage up by his knees!

Christ, there are some hopeless 'gentleman' racers on this grid. Some of them couldn't find an apex with a map and are downright dangerous, particularly the guy in the yell Porsche and the one in the blue 935...

Couldn't be sure, but it looks like after the waving blue around 8:20 I see some local yellow and a red 911 going for an illegal pass.

Driving with many different classes of cars and different levels of skills from gentlemen to seasoned vet is fun but you gotta have your awareness up at 12

You can tell that blue 935 is definitely quicker in a straight line but you are superior driver with great line choices. Driving skill is the best mod!

It's a true pleasure to see a driver that know the limits of the car and can use it to it fullest :D

Leh Keen has some huge balls! Not only is that car worth way over 1 million dollars... but he only has 280hp... and look at the beasts he is dicing with! The guy is awesome!

I could watch the whole 24hrs from this same view and wouldn't get bored for one second with this brilliant driving of a wonderful car!

This guy has guts to spare, and what a spectacular sounding driving machine! No freakin' paddle shifters here... Bloody clutch and stick.

Almost unbelieveable difference in drivers' competence (and experience ?); watching them dance across the track t hey can't be using their mirrors and then overtaken several times - no consistency. Cutting through the traffic at Le Mans must be an art without road-rage :-) !

Really aggressive in the turns. Exceptional driving and it shows. Passing faster cars. PS that 935 turbo has nothing on you.

I use those exact same Puma shoes for track days ja! this guy however, drives a cooler car. I drive a 903 Reynard (Formula 3). Awesome shoes for downshifting with no PDK jeje:)

What a cluster. Keen and the guy in the yellow RSR are the only 2 with brains. The guy in the blue 935 shouldn't have a license, no situational awareness at all, coasting allover the place, half speed into the corner then point and shoot, what a knob. They guys in those sports racer looking cars are no better. Good Job Leh !

I can't get why so many drivers seemingly have an in-off pace....I can see them pushing hard out of a curve then slowing down on the straight or in some cases,overtaking this guy at a much higher speed and being again overtaken in the following fraction of the track while going much slower...... Any suggestion ? Pretty good footage,thanks for the upload.

He was driving for everyone else, no one uses a mirror other than him. If I was next to him you know you could trust him.

Lot of crappy drivers with fast cars, Keen are definitely one of the superior drivers in the race.

It must be a pain in the ass to be racing with a bunch of amateurs that have fast cars on the straits but slow down way too much on the twisties.

Very nice indeed. Keen is one of my favorite drivers to watch. So much skill on display here if you pay attention. Watch how early he picks the throttle up at, or before each apex, and how he destroys everyone in the fast esses.

Fantastic driving, amazing how he has to dodge the sloopy drivers who think they are alone on the track.

Lea Keen is the Master of Momentum in these old cars, what would be an over-cooked corner entry by mere mortals, he pulls off lap after lap! Turn after turn. Brilliant!

I have seen a Jürgen Barth Porsche 936 Le Mans onboard clip ... he was overtaking full flying Carreras which looked like parked on the Hunaudieres .. together with the impressions taken from here . I am slowly getting a rough idea of the literally unbelievable skill and nerves paving each inch of those tracks 🌷

Nice video! Seems the drivers of the other cars need to learn how to extract more from them. Like always, you dance right on that edge of performance and extract what you can from the car - makes for a great video! Traffic was a little crazy...lol. Nice video footage of some classic racecars too...Ferrari 512BB and BMW M1 were so sweet sounding! More videos like this whenever you can please!

ugh! about the 24 second mark he's bouncing from gas to brake back and forth. Should have been left foot braking, then gone to heel and toe. Wasted time. Gimme the keys! :) Just kidding. Leh drove an excellent tactical race. Very clean, defensive about the car when other drivers didn't seem aware he was there.

i had the privilege to sit in one of these and i can tell u the clutch is stiff as HELL! i have a race clutch on my Miata but thats NOTHING compared to this cant get how they dont get really tired in the left leg after a while...

Bro look very closely at his right foot when he upshifts. It’s barely coming off the throttle when he disengages the clutch with his left. Very small detail but that to me show a level of skill & finesse. I’m only 3 minutes in 😂 idk who he is but he’s driving his ass off! If you ever wanted to know why this car can demand such a premium ... This video is the only way I will ever experience the speed easily put down by this Great Porsche. Wow, you can almost hear the groans of the competition from 40+ years ago.

Whatever/whoever did the tune, the cars looks terribly unadjusted to the track at hand. Awful low/mid pickup. Unless the choice was top speed or that, just from the video the car looks and sounds as if it was taken/tuned from/for a whole different track.

6:03 I know the frustration. I race a 1400 Datsun touring car, no aero on little six inch Avon slicks. There was this guy in our last race in a space frame car with a big splitter, big rear wing on ten inch slicks, comes past me and I have to slow down so I don't go into the back of him through the corner even though that car should be miles faster than mine through the corners. Then he disappears on the straight 🤣
