Can anyone tell me who manufactured the 2016 models? I have a Lehr 15 hp and I need a new impeller and thermostat, but having a tough time finding them.
If this guy’s lips are moving, he is lying. There is 1lb of Propane in a Coleman cylinder. This is equal to the energy in 0.18 gallons of gasoline. A 2.5 HP gasoline outboard will use 1/4 gallon of gas an hour at full throttle, or would need 0.4 gallons of gasoline to run at 2/3 throttle for the 2.5 hours he claimed his engine could go on a cylinder. The calculations would say that you would get an hour and 15 minutes on a cylinder. Call it an hour with some reserve. Same with his 9.9 HP claims of 11.5 hours. A gasoline motor would use about 2/3 gallon per hour. So would need 7.7 gallons of gasoline to run for 11.5 hours. It would take 41 lbs of propane to do the same. So his claims are off by a factor of 2 or more in both cases. Using propane is like buying gasoline at $5 a gallon, except they don’t sell it on any docks or even within walking distance of one.
need advice concerning my craftsman lpg powered weed trimmer. it will only go to approximately 1/2 throttle and dies when i attempt to rev to full rpm. very frustrating to use for trimming after i mow the lawn. what should i attempt to address this issue? Thank you in advance for your advice.
Bought a 5 hp 2 years ago, total junk after having me run all over Wisconsin to have it fixed they sent me a new one and it is also junk. The service department will not even return calls or e-mails. $1500 out the window.
Awh man this guy. Guys like this play as saboteurs to great ideas. I would happily shake the hands of the innovators of LEHR. Anyone with a measurable amount of intelligence and majority of their fingers is capable of servicing these engines if they have the tool kit that is provided with the motor. These are like the BMW of outboards with the provided tools. I’m sad to admit that the difference in hundreds of hours versus thousands of hours running my 2017 LEHR 5.0S will be the availability of parts. This seems due to the broad ignorance of the modern consumer and the struggles of establishing an international company. My motor runs great and I fear that with the company seeming to go extinct I will only be able to keep it that way for a limited amount of time. I am a second hand owner and I have completed my first 100hr service to the engine and look forward however many more hours of service I will be able to get from it.
If you know how to and can do it. Most people dont. Just like changing the oil in my car. 20 minutes and $30 and Im done. No way Im taking it to the dealer for $100 or more, but people do it all day.
Bought this. Used it 5 times and then hard line cracked because they dont make it stationary to the housing so when you twist the green can it breaks the line. Terrible design. They wouldnt help until I put the guy on the spot at a tradeshow in front of a bunch of prospective customers. LEHR is a horrible company. Avoid em.
