what would the cost be compared to a gas engine compared to propane. Propane canister will cost more on average where as gas will last longer using it & cheaper. 3 gallons of gas will last forever where as the propane will only last like you said 1/2 hour.

My new 5 hp short shaft has spent more time in the shop than at my house. Do not buy one unless you like driving to the shop.
