Thanks for the response, is there a simple method to get completed 3d measure into Inventor (Im looking to measure for drawing and fitting of bespoke stairs in Inventor, I use tape and laser measure at present)

JamulaJura Inventor 2013 can import the DXF file but not export to DXF format, one workaround maybe is export your Inventor file to AutoCAD DWG format -> open it in AutoCAD -> Save As to DXF format. forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-general-discussion/inventor-2013-export-to-dxf/td-p/3554956
