Leica, Panasonic Lumix GH7 & S9 are in this title, & are you privileged because you shoot film? Huh?

Have you ever even touched a Leica camera if it's in your title? Have you really used the Panasonic GH7 yet? Or are you just taking advantage of the moment? And is that cool? I think it's complicated, and it's layered. Put the Leica d-lux 8 or the sl3 in your title, along with the Lumix GH7, or perhaps even the S9 at the moment, and you got you some filmmaker and photographer clicks. Some views, but the question is, are you doing that because you are really interested in all of that? Or are you just trying to have a successful RU-vid channel, or is all of that okay? I actually think it is, but it's complicated as well, once you begin to add things like judging people's "privilege", because then you begin to talk about meaningful things outside of the realm of filmmaking or photography, and to be honest with you, I think that is way cool. Why not use your platform to sneak in some real-life stuff along with trying to run a business? But ahh... the trick is to somehow remain genuine doing all of that. That's the thing. Can you? Do you even care? People know, so tread carefully...

First, I have to say this. I never pause your videos and come back later to finish watching them. I always watch them from beginning to end, in one sitting. Why? Because I am drawn to honesty and forthrightness. Your honesty is a shiny gem that one day was found in an archeological dig deep inside the mountains. Precious. Rare. And most of all. Engaging. That's the key. Your videos are always engaging. Every second. Every minute. Engaging. Since I started watching your videos, I've paused thinking about making a new RU-vid video. You're inspiring me to make better content. More helpful and thoughtful content. Because, like you said, we are part of a community. And if I can't engage with this community, then what am I doing here? Thanks again, for sharing your thoughts, ideas and opinions. Your content is the most original content I have ever come across on RU-vid, or anywhere else. Online. Offline. On paper. On a smartphone screen. Whatever. Enjoy the rest of today. Know that you are a great example of the good people can do when sharing their ideas with others. With a community. Take care.

I think what most inspires me about this is that you feel inspired to do more work, and I think that’s perhaps the greatest contribution that we can make, to inspire one another to continue to create art. I could write volumes on what was covered here. Suffice to say as others have pointed out, 37 minutes and I only got up to go to the bathroom. Great work, both message and performance. I think your attitude towards RU-vid is a really healthy one that will support long term staying power and stave off burnout. Thanks.

Thanks so much, Keith, I really appreciate it. I’m just being me, all the time. :-) And yes, a good attitude is certainly better than the alternative. But it’s a constant battle for all of us. Especially in this current world. Thanks so much for the constant good energy, I don’t take it for granted.

I really find your videos interesting and refreshing. Like you, I think it's best to be yourself and have fun, and not worry about RU-vid analytics!

I appreciate that. Really. This video is a good example, it breaks every rule of a good RU-vid video. :-) I just did everything off the top of my head, got home and had some fun cutting it all together, and just put it out there to see how people would receive it. The one thing I know I will always do is put out nothing but the truth, the most genuine version of myself, and try to be as interesting and provocative as I can. I’ll never disrespect anybody, and I’ll always try to actually include the audience in what I’m saying. At least that’s my intention. :-) And of course, I’m always trying to make the videos look as beautiful as possible, try to improve my filmmaking all the time. That’s really important to me. To take risks as well. Be willing to put out stuff that’s not so perfect, because filmmaking is never perfect. Storytelling is never perfect. In any case, I really appreciate your kind words, and thanks so much for coming through, I don’t take your time for granted at all. Have a beautiful day.
