Did Leica provide any scenarios to test AFC Tracking, Sports etc? It looks a beautiful camera, and I'm sure the images will be fabulous as well as it being a joy to hold and operate, but I'm not sure it's taken enough steps forward in the autofocus department, would like to see it shooting some action please.
SL3 looks super tempting. For autofocus- I have always found manual rangefinders to be the fasted, most accurate and most intuitive thing on the planet … for the sort of shooting I do most of the time. I mean it would be pointless trying to scan negatives using a rangefinder (without live view), but for certain types of live action shooting, it can’t be beat.
Wonderful review even though totally out of my price range. I do prefer a tilting screen which is why I often use my 10 year old Olympus rather than my newer OM system OM1
Nice review! But is the chroma bumped so much by default? Looks like the colors are all over the place. I never understood the "magic" Leica digital look.
I really wish Leica could figure out a way to make M cameras auto focus capable. Imagine those beautiful little M lenses with auto focus! That would be perfection.
Leicas are nice handling and feel premium. Let’s face it, unless you’re talking about niche photography, every camera now shoots and takes absolutely great images. Why not have a great handling and nice looking kit if you’ve got the money for it?
@@hioe04 (CarlyWaarly)Fu$k Yeah!! That's why I got mine. My Sony A7RV is amazing with G/GM lenses, but the SL3's handling, build quality and Leica lenses are on a different level. Use whatever camera you want to get the same result (from a Nikon D4), I just choose to pay triple the price because I can (and my wife doesn't know)!! CHEERS.
