We just got back from the Tampa show too. We were so excited to be able to tour all those great floorplans. Amazing! Then we were totally deflated when we talked to the young woman sales rep there at the display. She told us the wait is now 3 years for the Unitys and 5 years for Wonders and there's no price guaranty! Holy moley !!! We're already in our late 60's. No idea if we'll even be able to RV 5 years from now - let alone be able to afford 5 more years of price adjustments. Guess we'll hang on to our current rig a while longer while we shop elsewhere. Maybe a used one will pop up. It was a great dream while it lasted.

Looking at the floorplans, I was confident I wanted the Wonder RTB; but when I saw it in person, it felt cramped. I also didn’t like the multiple steps, I could see lots of tripping ahead. Initially, the Wonder FTB was my least desired plan… I saw a used Wonder FTB at a dealer, and I was so surprised I had an immediate love for that large-feeling interior with lots of windows. It was so open and felt much lighter, larger, and more livable realistic floor plan for me. So, I ordered the Wonder FTB, coming in March. If I only went by the website, I would have never ordered that model. So, I agree with Brandon. It’s important to see them in person. Also, I noticed that in all models, the white upper cabinets at eye level make a big difference in the perception of space. Thanks for showing us the LTV’s!

It is very important for us to have a separate made up bed from the living area. One of us is often up before the other when camping or at times one of us has been ill while camping and really appreciate the separate space. The AWD is also necessary for us and the garage is a big plus. Hopefully we won’t be disappointed

We just flew back today from the show. We came all the way from California. After seeing the much higher prices and the even longer waits I’ve decided against the LTV. It’s been #1 on my list since before the pandemic but the prices have gotten too crazy and the wait time too long. I hated letting the dream go but it was it took all of 15 seconds. If I find a used one someday at the right price I will definitely consider it. I still think it’s the best of its kind on the market.

as more of you drop your dream of owning a LTV, business will drop and hopefully prices too. Wait times will get smaller and smaller. LTV is cutting their own throats.
@VanLifeByTheRiver
@VanLifeByTheRiver Год назад
LTV was top on my list too. However, the wait times are unacceptable even though we are younger RV’ers comparatively. We went with a 2023 Tiffin Wayfarer 25RW and we are loving it. It was available immediately and we knocked off 27% of MSRP making it a bargain in comparison. Customer service at Tiffin has been amazing as we had some minor issues that were taken care of immediately. So there are some quality alternatives to LTV. Tiffin does not have Transit chassis which is a deal breaker for some and I don’t blame folks for being wary of the MB Sprinter chassis although ours has done well in the short period we have had it.

I originally wanted the WRTB. The main reasons were AWD and the large rear garage. Plus, the beds can always be made up, and better for fishing buddies. Due to delivery time, I ended up with the WRL. Much better interior layout, but very little outdoor storage. The shower is very tiny for a 5-11 two hundred lb guy. It is acceptable. I agree, the WFTB is a winner! Very good review!

so glad you included the 24FTB, the one I have picked too, viewing only, there aren't any in Canada anywhere and the dealers are not allowed to have models to keep for showing, only selling. I am a former 24FX owner and a brief one at that. What go me in the end to put the "FOR SALE" sign up was that my partner just couldn't appreciate the smaller space and for me it was the frustrating bathrm, too small and the door closure drove me nuts. ANyway, you didn't mention that the twins come together to make a queen bed, and that it has storage underneath the 2 beds. My only improvement would be to have a bigger table mount in the centre between the beds. To me, the slide out table from the drawer holder in the storage area isn't big enough. That was the one thing I didn't like about it. And I also would like there to be other colour options for the covers for the beds. I guess custom made after market is the only option currently. Thanks for this. So wish I could go to these shows!

Agree on seeing floor plans. Our original thoughts of an RTB changed to an RL. We like the flexibility of two separate living areas by day, bedroom by night. The supply chain issues have kept us biting our nails for two years; no more. However, we did not abandon LTV. We truly believe they are the standard by which others are compared. A used 2021 Wonder RL has come to our rescue. Like others have mentioned, 3 to 5 year waiting times with open-ended prices made us change our thinking. Who knows what the future holds with health and age related issues…

Thanks for the review Brandon. The Unity TB you were in is my actual unit. You, and a few hundred others, got to see it before me--disappointing! I should be picking it up within a few days. Regarding the close quarters/cramped space of the twin bed, for someone like me, traveling either with my 85-year old dad or my 35-year old son, the twin beds are the only option other than a one-bed setup. I would prefer the murphy bed or the rear lounge for me alone, but since most trips will include me plus a guest, the twin bed set-up is the only way. Airstreams have a bunk bed option. Bunk beds would be a nice LTV alternative that would open up the floor space.

Great video. However, I did not see the Unity RL. Did I miss it? One of the big advantages of the Unity mid bathroom floor plans is the ability to swing the door to the shower & close off the front of the coach from the back. In the case of the Rear Lounge this makes it into two separate rooms. My wife can be watching TV or sleeping in the back while I watch TV or work on the computer up front. We have a 2020 Unity RL, finding it roomy for an RV with no slide (our preference). After reading all the comments for this RU-vid video I would encourage your followers to refer back to your videos comparing the Wonder and Unity. I’m biased but I prefer the Unity because I could get an auto leveling system, ducted air conditioning, better gas mileage w/diesel, & no step-up from driver’s cabin to RV housing. Of course, it’s hard to beat the build quality of any Leisure Travel Van!! My opinion: if you had an RV with multiplex wiring and control of all functions from a keypad or your phone you would really be a fan.

Really disturbs me that the WMBL has a worse looking lounge than the UMBL. The lounge is its whole thing, worse lounge is a serious problem. But I've never been an MB fan so whatever. I have a 2023 WRL and it's great. I've had 10 people hanging out in it and another couple coming in to grab lunch. So it's funny to me that you can't stand a space that can fit that many people. But it doesn't mean you're wrong, you buy what works for you. And I think the FX is really cool, like the modern version of the Libero/Serenity floorplan. Unless someone there told you different the Unity doesn't come with an induction cooktop, it's just something in the prototype for testing.

Hi Brandon, I went to the RV Show in Pleasanton, CA on January 21st and unfortunately the MBL was not there. I too like the FX, but would like to have the window above the Murphy bed fully exposed when the bed is in the stowed position. It’s NOT in the 2023 FX as you know. Dean was at the show and he said that the reason it’s not there is because the bed is 79 inches long in the FX and it would be impossible to expose the window with that bed configuration. And tall guys like us (I’m 6’1”) need the extra length. The reason why the MBL floor plan can have the window exposed is that they SHORTENED the bed by 4 inches to 75 inches. I think your viewers will want to have this information when deciding on if the MBL is the floor plan of choice. In looking at the FX and having both living areas and the spaciousness AND the longer bed, I think we will switch floor plans from the MBL to the FX. I do sure like that exposed window in the MBL, but don’t want to compromise on the bed length. Darrell
