Am I the only one wondering what you typed out at the end??? I never thought much about different keyboards but this one sure has that ASMR vibe to it...very soothing to listen to.

A keyboard to a creator is like a brush to a painter --essential for bringing ideas to life.

You mention the VIA software being flaky - what is the deal with using their Lemokey Launcher web app? There was mention of a mechanical 10keypad which is something to source if using any TKL mech solution. Need to have that for work...not so much for gaming. thanks for feedback in advance!

Hey. I'm going to try Lemokey's launcher one day and see if that fixes the issue. I agree with you on having a numpad, too. Can you recommend one? Thanks for the tip! Please consider subscribing and also follow me on Twitch if you want to see my live. Thanks for the comment.

That's not a 76% keyboard btw, it's a tenkeyless. You get even less keys with a 75% board. The memory loss is a VIA thing apparently, or maybe it's just chips made to be compatible with VIA that are the problem.
@derekszyszka
@derekszyszka 2 месяца назад
You are totally right about the L3 being a TKL model >< haha The memory loss with VIA could be a chip issue. All I know it's a hardware/software issues, not a consumer issue who spent $300 on a keyboard that doesn't fully function. Please subscribe if you want to see more tech and lifestyle content. I also Discord community if you're interested. Thank for checking out my video. 🤜

The basic assembly of the typical MX style switch + couple of mm allowance for hotswap sockets under the PCB + a couple of mm allowance for gasket travel necessitates that the keyboard is as high as it is. Yes you can shave a few mm off the height, but compromises will have to be made.

Good to keep in mind. Thanks for the comment.

I use Redragon K587 as my main. It has side macro keys just like that but 5 keys. Hot swappable switches, with media keys and volume wheel. It is not gasket mounted. It's cheap ($35) but offers a lot of features. It has its own software for customization. You can uninstall the software after customization and keeps the settings saved. No such problems like that.... It does the job. I really love it.

Holy. That Redragon you mentioned is only $68 on Amazon. I might pick one up to play with. Thanks for the comment.

Great! I believe what you saw is the Pro version cause it's a lot expensive than mine. It has optical switches. Mine is the "Non" Pro version. The stock switches in the Non Pro is Outemu blue. You might not like it but it's hotswap, easy to replace. But the sockets fit only Outemu and Akko switches.
@derekszyszka
@derekszyszka 2 месяца назад
@@axismachineriesandfabricat3336 Have you ever used brown switches? I've actually never heard of blue switched before. I loved loved loved my speed switches from my last Corsair k95. My order options on Amazon for the Redragon k587 are Red and Brown.

@axismachineriesandfabricat3336 2 месяца назад
@@derekszyszka I am currently using Outemu browns. But the tactile feel is very low. Almost nothing. If you want tactile, I suggest to choose Akko Lavander Purples. Many said it fits Outemu sockets.

@@derekszyszka In my country, only Outemu Blues is the option for Redragon K587 (Non Pro)

I don't see much point in small media keys on keyboards that you can reprogram with VIA, unless you use absolutely every single key on the right side of the keyboard. The default on the knob already give you 3 media keys(Vol+/-, Mute), but can be changed, and the top right key is pause, so you already have 4. With VIA you can change any keys that you don't use in productivity tasks to be media keys if you want more of them.
@derekszyszka
@derekszyszka 3 месяца назад
I've already programmed the 'pause' key to pause music/whatever is playing, but VIA can't figure out how to get 'play' something again. I don't think I'm programming the keyboard wrong. Maybe the software is just flakey?
@Dexx1s
@Dexx1s 2 месяца назад
@@derekszyszka In VIA, it doesn't even call it Pause, it just calls it Play, and it should do both functions just fine.

I got my L3 a few days ago, having similar issues with the knob but only when I bind it to some special keys or macros - which leads me to believe it's a firmware problem, not a hardware one. Try to bind the knob to some 'basic' keys like KC_A and KC_B and see if the problems persist.
@derekszyszka
@derekszyszka 3 месяца назад
Hey. Thanks for the reply. I have tried to bind it to alternate functions before with no success. It sucks that you're having this issue as well, but at least I know I'm not alone. Keychron needs to fix this issue ASAP!!
@piteras00
@piteras00 3 месяца назад
@@derekszyszka You're not alone, but these issues seem really inconsistent. I found several reports of this happening to people, and yet somehow the symptoms are slightly different. In my case it has nothing to do with sleep, either on PC's or keyboard's side, more like macros and special keys acting wonky when bound to any key at all - not only the knob or the macro keys, and it does that right after programming them. Fortunately the firmware is open source, so even if Keychron doesn't fix this, hopefully the community eventually will :D
@davidstone6305
@davidstone6305 Месяц назад
Could you not replace the firmware with Keychron's Q3 Pro SE? It's the exact same keyboard minus that the macros aren't hot swappable and an upgrade in connectivity. I haven't heard an issue from the Q3's yet
@derekszyszka
@derekszyszka Месяц назад
Firmware swapping scares me. I've had friends brick their electronics from incompatible firmware.
@MarbsMusic

Are you using a laptop or desktop? If desktop, why would you have your computer going to sleep? Also there are keyboards that don't have the separation, some don't want that thought as it could increase typos. I actually think Keychron makes plastic board like that which may even be low profile which is sound like what you may like best. Personally, I want mine massively thick and heavy but not too tall at the front. Not sure what the front height is on this one but the Yunzii AL75, Neo65 and Neo80 are all pretty low in the front, about 18mm. Meaning that you really don't need a wrist rest to use them comfortably. I like the L3 but it's a little wide for me, testing the P1 now and it's more to my liking but the macro keys on the side are definitely interesting on the L3!

I'm on a Windows desktop. I put my computer to sleep to resume workflow if I'm working on an intricate project with a lot of programs going on. I usually like to shut my computer down every night, but not always. Thanks for the comment. 😎

They are much quieter than my previous MX Speed switches. But I agree with you. I didn't expect them to be this loud. Also, all the gaming keys on the left-hand side are WAY louder than the lesser-used keys, and it's only been 5 months.
