In Amalfi, Italy, huge lemons, "sfusato amalfitano," are made into a Limoncello but, better yet, the peels are ground along with almonds, Parmesan, and oil to make pesto in minutes. Pesto Genovese (basil) is nice but Pesto di Limone is better! Get the recipe: bit.ly/3xKBsPi

No bowtie! I really, really respect him doing the right thing by emulsifying the starchy pasta water with the fat to make a creamy sauce with no cream. Cooking the pasta in the sauce and allowing the starches to do their emulsifying magic, leaving it on the wet side, and serving it immediately is the definition of pasta magic. Not like I'm surprised...he's the man! I learn a lot from him. Did I mention the word magic? Twice? Good.

Is the go pro attached to his hat? I’m so interested in this. Also- my lady and I made this last night for 4 of our friends and it was AMAZING! We had a wonderful evening and this dish was at the center of it. Nothing like a great meal, good spirits, and good people to warm a cold Vermont evening by the fireside.

I did get fresh pine nuts because there's nothing more savory than fresh sweet basil and pine nuts give a mild nutty taste to your pesto sauce. No sugar was added but a tablespoon of fresh Sicilian Lemon juice. 1 table spoon Pink Hemmilayan sea salt. I boiled the pasta in peeled lemon rinse Then took it out before adding the pasta.

The recipe is awesome, the camera shake is very dizzying on a large monitor. Use multiple GoPros or move one GoPro on a tripod and cut out the transitions, nothing wrong with cuts :)

I shared this link with my husband yesterday and he made it for dinner. Absolutely delicious!! He said he guessed on the amount of almonds as the video did not say. He guessed right, great meal!!

Watch it daily & just heard Cris say no more Beef ect in the oven💗yum Chris said his mom had cloves since WW2& I laughed&then wondered if in upcoming shows he would say if it's in the list&all you have-don't not make it(I have used old spice&new nxt time&he is right there will be a difference - but make their measurements & tricks like pasta above-my fav is to see it re-watch it late showing&if not get it here&buy book for my 50 yr old girls (collectors)

Instead of all the tossing, why not add half of the reserved pasta liquid to the processor with the pesto and make your emulsion in the food processor in 10 seconds? It's already dirty, so put it to use.

You want to finish cooking the pasta in the sauce so that the pasta is married to the sauce. The pasta will continue to thicken the sauce as it cooks further and absorbs flavor.

Be advised, you must use locally grown lemons because non local lemons are sprayed with a harmful petroleum product to aid in the preservation and survivability during transport.

I can’t get WIFI where I live. Where I used to live a man hack me 3 times, kept changing my name and password. So how do I get your measured ingredients? You are a favorite chef of mine. I have watched for years but my current tv company doesn’t have any cooking channels. I can only get to watch on my phone, so you require I sign up digital. I have no computer nor WIFI. Please reconsider your fan base. I have always been a fan. I will not be able to see or know if you got this message. Please put ingredient list in the info description. Why keep it a secret? I will miss you. You are my style.

I jotted down the recipe as he made it. Everything is there verbally except the amounts of oil and nuts. I eyeballed 1/3 c each. It came out perfectly.

This recipe looks amazing and I will definitely try it, but this is one of the worst cooking videos I’ve ever watched. I was completely nauseated by the end. Why did you waste viewers’ time by chopping scallions and then choosing not to use them because you don’t want any green in the dish? Why didn’t you just drizzle the oil as the food processor was running rather than continue to guess? Why did you choose almonds over pine nuts if that’s what they would typically use in Amalfi? Why would anyone think using a GoPro was a good idea for a cooking video? Beautiful looking dish… terrible video.
