The Boulder Summit.
If you’ve been holding your breath for us to release a Boulder Boot style that can properly tackle the trails, you can go ahead and release that breath. Now take another, and another, because you’ll be huffing and puffing up and over mountains and along stretches of dirt and rock in your spiffy Boulder Summit boots. Rain? Mud? Snow? Sleet? No matter, these boots are fully waterproof and will keep those feet dry despite what Mother Nature throws your way.
The Boulder Summit combines the minimalist features of the Boulder Boot with the outsole of the Outlander. This means these boots offer substantial grip without weighing you down, flexibility as you navigate uneven terrain, and the wide toe box means ample space for your toes to spread out fully. The rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs and zig-zag grooves for superb traction in even the most slippery situations.
Available in Rugged Bark - a full-grain, oiled leather, which can be reconditioned overtime to retain its best waterproofing - and Nitro - a fully waterproof Nylon and vegan-friendly option.

Any plans to return to the ACTUAL wide toe box of the original Boulder boots? I've noticed that there is just a *single* style left in your lineup with the original wide toe box. Everything else is this new slimmer "wide natural" shape, which is just a regular width shoe with a squared off toe. PLEASE bring back the original wide shapes for the new offerings. No room for toes to splay = not a barefoot shoe.

I'm a traditional boot guy. While I have low profile trail runners and a pair of barefoot shoes I have to say this was a missed opportunity. If only they stitched the outsole I would had bought this in a heartbeat.

I had the same idea, but I assumed it was to keep it waterproof. I would forgive it if they made it up elsewhere or had the glue points a bit more neatly done. I still don't regret the purchase, minor gripes

My wife just got these for me for Christmas, should I put the Otter/Duck wax on them immediately or just after some wear and tear? Love these boots though!!! SOOOOOOO comfy!!!

i recently got mine in the mail, just in time for this season, and i am really happy with them. wide toe, plenty of room for my feet. it feels like zero drop, i dont notice my heel raised, it feels pretty natural. thick sole for sure but i prefer it for the snow, plus it would probably be colder to be close to the ground in the winter, so the thick sole i have no problem with. and they dont feel stiff at all to me, i love walking in them. super comfortable and i love how they look. these are the only barefoot boot i own, but i totally recommend.

How was the sizing for you? I have the regular boulder boot and they tell you to order a full size larger, so I did, and they do indeed run a size small so they are perfect. Are these true to size like they tell you on the website? Thanks for the review

I would so much love to try those but there is no decent dealer in Europe, found one or two but the model i wanted is sold out they don't seem to re order anytime soon.

Slight drop. maybe a half a centimeter. But relatively thicc sole, I suppose if people care to keep their fake height in a boot. Minor flex. It can still fold but not quite like the other regular prior boulder series(non summit both waterproof and not) or any competing barefoot shoes. They are rigid for a barefoot style(especially on the outsole), but retain some level of flexibility that doesn't exist in regular boots. They were designed for more hiking grip it seems; so less groundfeel more protection/traction, I think it handles medium level hikes better than any other series

@@AntiAnathema i got mine recently and i feel like there isnt any drop, like its pretty flat. im not sure how you would measure that, or how you could tell. your review is pretty spot on though. not much ground feel with the thick sole, but for breaking hard snow, its perfect

this shoe makes me question the direction you are heading into. This is not zero drop. I don't believe it. There used to be a time last year in which you called it a 3mm drop, but idk if you have changed the production since then. Anyways, the zero drop is certainly disturbed by the insole, which cushions the heel. big nono. thinner sole, flat insole, thats the thing to change.
