I like the myriad things you guys choose to cover and explore. It's nice to see artists taking the opportunity to do what they want to do rather than always doing what others may want them to do. Regardless of how I came across your channels originally, I'm glad to be along for the ride.
That last bit with the shift to english lyrics gave me serious chills!! It sounds absolutely amazing in russian, great job guys and gals who worked on this! I did have one question tho: In the russian version it sounds like they call him 'Wiley Pete' instead of Desert Pete, is that right?
No it is not right. In russian version they adapted "Desert Pete" as "Пыльный Пит" [pyl'nyy pit]. And you heard "Пыльный" like "Wiley". But a translation of "Пыльный" is "Dusty". I think, they did translation like that because this word fits better with the rhythm of the song. Look in "Desert Pete" we have three syllables, but if we translate this to russian we get "Пустынный Пит" - already four syllables, but in "Пыльный Пит" there are still three syllables. And word "Dusty" can be associated with desert, because there are dust storms and a lot of sand - pieces of stone as little as pieces of dust. So this is just an authors' change.
A couple other songs that I'd like to see similarly covered: Bill Staines "A Place in the Choir" (perhaps to most well-known cover is by Makem & Clancy) and Eric Bogle "Care for the Land"
Ну а теперь, после монополизации первого коммента, хотелось-бы сказать: ребята вы лучшие. Сначала подумал, что это ваша работа. Хотя подозрения закрались еще с самого начала - с чего-бы такая мелодия? По сравнению с оригинальной песней звучит свежо. Кстати, а перепевка на английском будет?

@@ВалерийАльбертович-о4ь Я никак не привязан к работе этих двоих, просто хорошие друзья с ними. Киря так то время от времени сольно/с некоторыми пацанами из тусовки выступает. Информация обычно в паблике ВК всегда есть.
