Lenny is a great teacher!!! I always enjoys his intelligent grown up videos. I'm in the process of doing my research now. I'm going to buy a G-22 soon and watching his videos is a big educational benefit, thanks!
Found Lenny while researching a book. Videos are really great and kudos for repeating the safety message on your videos, Lenny. You're a true ambassador for responsible gun ownership.
Thanks Lenny McGill! Be at the store next time I visit. Been there a couple times traveled down from Ventura County and would be fresh to meet you and tell you thanks for all your help with these videos in person. Its premium double diamond barrel time soon!!
He's also fighting the good fight in one of 'em. I had a dream once, shortly after the 2016 election, that a gigantic wood saw (looking down at a map of the U.S.) came in and sawed Southern Cali from the rest of the U.S., then a boot on one of those cartoon contraptions they use for a boxing glove to like come out of a wall on a timer appeared and booted Cali out into the ocean. It floated away majestically. I woke up in a good mood that day.
Lenny, thank you for such an informative and helpful video. I recently purchased my first Glock - (19 gen4). Because I live in Connecticut, I can't order anything over 10 rds. Just retired and can't wait to leave CT for a free state.
Being a woman & a newbie to the Glock family I saw some GS videos & have been a great tool for me, since I hate to ask questions about this & that. Thank you for the informative video. Learn(d) a lot ! I made a great choice[purchase ....
Mr M your videos are extremely informative and at times display some common sense humor as well. I also like your company as well... I as a typical "old school wheel gun / 1911" guy thought I was becoming new school when I bought a sig 220 ...25 years ago....last year i finally [ with some coaching from buddies in LE ] gave in a bought a damn plastic firearm ... a 17 ...3 gen...wow. then all those hours and hours... of fine tuning 1911 colts... well... to heck with it. the darn Plastic thing NIB rang true and straight 16 times in a 10" circle. and it was my wife that shot the first mag...17 times... .. I of course had one dog gone high flyer ... high and right ... so my first mag was an 11 inch grouping... my second round too... dammit... AND I"LL NEVER HEAR THE END TO THAT...women can shoot better than men ... I'm Just glad she can protect herself with precision. Thanks for your instructional videos,, thanks for providing affordable [ at times ] some great and innovative products for one heck of a firearm. Some days while our family is out "plinking" I sure wish J M Browning could have run a mag thru a GLOCK 17. I'm pretty darn sure he would have been happy . Good day sir.
Got to love the extended mags . I have a few for my two 9mm's and a couple for my G30 Gen4 . I think those hold 24 rounds of 45's . That is a lot of fire power. I usually wear cargo pants and carry a couple extra mags. I'm an old combat Vet and former police officer . I don't like to run out of ammo .
Lenny I did not anticipate you answering my question. you are so thorough in your videos' and I did not give you your credit due .. so sorry , but so happy I found your channel. Much very much appreciation for you and your channel. thanks
"Not available in California" As of today, Aug 14, 2020, the 9th Circuit has decided that the mag capacity laws are unconstitutional. As long as the ruling holds out, we will be able to get standard capacity mags for whatever firearm we want.
Great video for me as I am considering my first Glock purchase. Good explanation of magazine options. I'd like to get a 22 or 23 and get a 9mm conversion barrel,
life long glock fan. lightweight, easy to clean. accurate, and jam free. as for the glock 26 aka the mini glock I use my middle finger for the trigger and I notice an even pull and a tighter grouping. also being my personal carry I want to shave weight every spot I can so it works perfectly for me. keep up the glock vids!
I can remember a few years after Glock was introduced I swore I'd never own one. I was primarily an Smith & Wesson enthusiast and I didn't care for Glock because I thought they were "ugly" and I hated not having an external hammer and just didn't care for the whole polymer approach, and I much preferred pistols with external hammers. I had my own FFL (1985-1995) and was able to order pretty much whatever I wanted quite cheap, and lemme tell you, guns were quite *inexpensive* back in the mid 1980's!! In fact, it pains me to think back on just how cheap weapons were were back when I had my dealers license - oh the stories I could tell.... It would make you sick to hear just how cheap guns were back then. Glock may still be on the ugly side but I absolutely love my Gen-3 G26 and G19, and after my first Glock I was hooked big-time. I carry concealed and the G26 was my first foray into the world of Glock and I loved that thing from the moment I unboxed it. Shooting it was pure pleasure and it concealed so nicely. I used to carry an S&W 3913 and although I still love that series I eventually sold it in favor of my new-found Glock appreciation (although I do wish I Still had the S&W). Live and learn...
OK, a ten-year-old video but 'WOW!' This! This is how you present a video! If you can, then bottle yourself up and make every single reviewer, blogger and video moron drink it! Lenny, you are a TOTAL GENIUS! A RU-vid MEGASTAR 🌟 For some reason, this video popped up in my feed so thought I would have a look and ended up watching the whole thing to the end. You keep your audience engaged and focused with the way you present. I was taken aback to be honest and could not believe that I watched it all the way especially as I'm in the UK and the closest I can get to any gun or mag, is probably the one tucked into your belt 😂 Just wanted to say thank you and as I can see you are still doing this, others spotted your talent! Thank you again! Keep safe and well! Mark.
More magazines = more fun. Really can't have enough. One thing Lenny didn't talk about was storing magazines loaded or not, and the debate over spring fatigue. From a physics perspective, metals (including springs) fatigue when they are cycled or put into tension/compression beyond their elastic limit. This would tell us that having mags fully loaded would not fatigue the spring. From my own experience, I have kept a variety of mags loaded for years with no loss of reliability. YMMV.
@@sam8404No issues. I have mags that have been loaded since the late 90s and they're fine every time I take them out. Pistol and rifle. Only caveat would be, they are all OEM or high quality mags, no knockoff stuff. Cheers mate!
Nice Demo. Well constructed and illustrated. Fun-fact, my G19 gen3 came with two ea. gen4 15rd mags. I also just ordered two ea. G17 17rd mags too. Thanks. - N Idaho -
Mr Magill! Been watching for a while and this is the exact package I am looking for. I bought a glock 43 for EDC but wish I would have bought the Glock 26 with the interchangeable magazines. Shopping around now and would like to sell or trade my 43 for the 26 with all accessories. Can u work with me on this or should I work with a local store? I am in Florida, thanks!!
And I have found that the .357 mags WILL hold and feed 9mm rounds as well. I was given a .357 magazine and I found it out by sheer chance. Granted, the holes indicating the round capacity is not accurate, but it will work in a pinch.
the g 26 has a shorter (thus more concealable), shorter stiffer (more accurate) barrrel. That is why you add extensions to a g26. Hope that helps you grasp why some might prefer it.
I WAS JUST GONNA WRITE CALIFORNIA WAS GAY..... BUT THEN I REALIZED I HAVE A BAD MEMORY.... GREAT VID!!! EVEN A YEAR LATER! TAKE CARE FOLKS AND STOCK THAT AMMO!
Hello, what is the ideal magazine to use on the Glock 26 GEN 5, using the x-grip, is it the 15-round magazine from the glock 19, or the 17-round magazine from the glock 19? Thanks
Very comprehensive....thanks so much Lenny...this has cleared up so much for me.....now I just want more Glocks and even more mags......this is great info!
yeah, ordered a spare mag from your store online and what I got was a stripped down mag with the floor plate missing. Called your customer service dept and they were no help at all. described a complicated return of the mag . I just went to a local gun shop and bought a floor plate and assembled the mag. Learned not to buy anything from the GLOCK STORE!! Nuff said!!
i love the videos from Lenny very instructionable and love the glock store as well. i live in canada they won't be able to ship there i am not sure.. going for my pal soon and my 1st gun will purchase is the Glock 19 or gen 4.. i always admired Glocks.. keep up the great videos..
just got 2 Model 22's GEN4..... and 6 extra mags different years each I assume. what mags will cycle flawlessly with a drop in Glock model 31 .357 SIG barrel. I have heard some are more reliable than others. some mags (3) on the forward side have a metal clip detent and metal detent on the left where some (3) just plastic cut outs no forward cut outs. please advise.
I've only shot the 27 once without any accessories. It was a little too small for my hands but I'm sure with a decent grip extension and a little practice, it can become second nature.
I know it probably seems like a redundant question, but can you swap out a .40 s&w barrel for a .357 sig? i already have the double diamond 9mm conversion barrels.
