Thank you so much for this fantastic video!!! I updated the driver as you instructed, selecting search for myself option and it worked!!!!! I was giving up until I found your video!! Thank you again so much for your knowledge and for sharing that knowledge with people like me!! May GOD always bless you!!🙏🏾
Thanks so much. Updating my driver with standard keyboard worked. I really appreciate your clear instructions and good English pronunciation and you spoke slowly. So it was the first option. I have an automatic driver update software that I pay for but it did not correct the problem or prevent the problem. So thanks again. I was so stressed when I could not use my keyboard. I am so relieved.
Omg thank you so much! The first one worked! I have not been able to try before bec I cannot get past my password! But after few weeks of not trying, I guess I got lucky and I was able to enter my password! After doing the first remedy, my keyboard is now working properly!
I'm going to try this for my father's computer. My question is is this a flaw in the computer or did my father have to have done something for this to have happened.
Thank you so much for the video! Just got my laptop yesterday and touchpad didn't work. Lenovo customer support had no clue what to do. They told me to mail it back wait 7-15 days to fix, unbelievable!!! After two days of research, finally found your video and it worked!
@@brspprenee9073 I'm not sure what's the keyboard issue you have, my TouchPad didn't work and I was able to fix it. But still whenever I get an update, I have to do it all over again

My keyboard is worked with the first method. But after sometimes the keyboard issue starts again and not working . Why is it so? How to get it straight? Please help me out..
Within 6 months of buying a new Lenovo S145 some of the keys (qwer uiop 9) stopped working. I tried all 6 steps in this video, and the 7 troubleshooting steps at Lenovo's support page or this laptop, and the issue continues to exist. I submitted an online Service Request and received an email saying this request could not be created automatically by Lenovo's system and to request a Callback. I submitted an online Callback Request and then got a pop-up notice saying "The current product is not supported." WTF. Lenovo's online Chat has me running in circles with no apparent way to fix the problem under the 1 year warranty. Too frustrating. Avoid Lenovo.
@@SRR02807 Thanks. I live in Canada, called Lenovo Canada at 877-453-6686, and explained situation. The Lenovo rep took my details, indicated the keyboard would be repaired under warranty, and made arrangements for a Lenovo techie to call. Still waiting for that call. I believe the keyboard is defective.
@@SRR02807 Earlier today I had a call from a Lenovo techie who asked a few questions, gave me a Service Order number, and sent me an email with details re mailing my IdeaPad S145 to the Lenovo's service centre in Ontario Canada. Suggest you contact Lenovo re having your IdeaPad fixed under warranty.
Glad to hear the second fix did the job for you! If you have any other tech issues, feel free to check out more helpful videos on my channel. Happy to help! 😊👍 #Lenovo #KeyboardFixes

Question….what happens if I open text framework and it’s completely empty and it tells me about something not being available and I can’t even find the “run” option to press? Is that a problem? Please tell me what I can do because a few of my keys aren’t working
Your RU-vid video assumes the Windows driver is the problem. But my Lenovo ThinkPad T490s' keyboard is malfunction . The letters of B, N, M, and arrow keys are not working. The computer will be locked up once any one of these keys is touched. I have updated the BIOS to 1.80 and embedded controller to 1.21. The BIOS has been set back to default settings. I have updated to the latest windows driver and I have tried three different keyboards to no avail. Windows 10 or Ubuntu 22.04 Linux makes no difference. So this is not a driver issue at all. Any thoughts?
Hi there! I'm sorry to hear about the keyboard issue you're experiencing with your Lenovo ThinkPad T490s. It sounds like you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, and it's unfortunate that they didn't resolve the problem. Since it's not a driver issue, it might be worth reaching out to Lenovo support for further assistance. They may have additional insights or solutions. Best of luck, and I hope your keyboard gets back to normal soon!
thanks for the video but I'm afraid I have to take the thing apart to see if there is a connection issue as none of these helped and if that doesn't work my sister is stuck with a broken keyboard and will have to leave her idea pad pugged in forever as the power button is part of the keyboard and she can get Logitech as the USB ports work. I gave you a thumbs up but did not sub to the channel as I don't watch these vids unless I have to one reason I hate Windows 10 Give us back the perfection of Windows 7 Microsoft!!!!!
Thanks for the suggestion! Testing the keyboard in the BIOS is a great troubleshooting step that can help determine if the issue is hardware-related. I'll make sure to include it in future videos to provide a comprehensive guide for fixing keyboard problems. If you have any other tips or feedback, feel free to share!
RappeR LovES I sent it back. I bought it from Costco and it was still under a two year warranty. They couldn’t fix it and gave me a refund. I was thinking of getting a plug in keyboard for it but didn’t have to. Good luck!
RappeR LovES you can get a usb plug-in-keyboard and plug it into the usb port on your laptop and just put it on top of the broken keyboard. That should work.
bro can you help me cause I reset my laptop I select the wipe everything and now my keyboard aren't working like its not giving me a caps lock light indicator and don't type and in device manager I cant see the keyboard option anyone please help me
oh my gosh. finally. i went to device manager and keyboard, somehow was able to choose standard ps/2 keyboard. this is after 2 days of trying stuff, and even resetting my laptop :(
