It literally just launched and you expect a finished product? The SD was a hot mess when it was new and so was the Ally but many many, MANY updates later, they are so much more improved! New tech needs time to improve, people have short memories.
The sd was not a hot mess lol. I’m a q1 sd user and the thing mostly just worked since day 1 with a few bugs that were quickly ironed out . Stop giving multi million dollar companies a free pass for everything .
You have a fair point but I’m not about to review a product for what it might become. With that said, a “3 months later” review could be a regular practice I do to address manufacturers that improve their products and for people sitting on the fence to finally know then and there, it’s worth picking up or not. Thanks for your inputs, they’ve inspired me.
Today’s world people want instant gratification, with any new tech there a design language , R&D has a focus and plan , Lenovo took design que’s from the Nintendo switch, Alienware’s prototype “UFO”, and Valve Steam deck, which is a bold new Product , which is fascinating to shake up the Market … I love the Lenovo Go.. and can’t forget the emulation aspect .. there’s nothing like it except a Gaming PC/ Laptop…. Let it breath it will get better with time 👍✅
Yo Klef, thank you very much for this video! It has so many info, so many things that are nice to know, and imho it's such a good review of the Lenovo Legion Go. Your channel is totally underrated and definitely needs more viewers.
Your words of encouragement have been heartwarming beyond compare Rem. Thank you so much for showing up from time to time with comments that always leave me rejuvenated and motivated to tackle my next piece of content. I appreciate you, thanks again!
@@GameTechTalk Matter of honor, buddy! You're one of the good guys out there. The YT algo is so bad imo and your channel and especially you deserve so many more subscribers, that's for sure. You put so much work into your videos and you're a smart guy with a good sense of humor. 🙂
Yup was gonna pick this up today but after hearing the OS is clunky and not even installed I’m good. Not the kind of experience I want in a handheld. Love quick resuming on switch oled. Don’t think I can deal with a slow, sluggy, windows hand held.
@@sirownzalotgaming3025 I'm sure Lenovo will improve their software over time, maybe give it a second look in a few months time. Until then, thank you greatly for watching!
Merci pour ce gentil commentaire, heureux de voir que vous avez pris le temps de voir la chaîne anglo et en espèrant vous relire sur les prochains vidéos! :)
Yup, not only are you right, I found the info from a Google Search on Lenovo’s forum. My bad everyone. I’ll do better next time, sorry and thank you. Used this as reference: psref.lenovo.com/Product/Legion/Legion_Go_8APU1
Lots of cool things about the Legion Go but the market is become so diversified and seasoned, I'd be curious to hear how you feel about it. A Retro Handhelds Review coming soon maybe? 😍
It is soldered. It seems pretty consistent across the board for recent handheld gaming PCs. I would think being CPU/GPU shared LPDDR might have something to do with that design decision since it is more often sold as individual units rather than a full swappable DIMM.
Why are your games running so badly? Ive had a look at other reviews and its like running cyberpunk at 40, cod 60 and fortnite 120. Could you please help me because i wanna get it
A big part of it is addressed in the video, if you push over 25w while unplugged, it seems to greatly hinder the performance. Maybe it's specific to my unit but it has persistently affected my performance when doing so. 25w or less is fine when unplugged. Otherwise, the performance is pretty on-par with other Ryzen Z1 Extreme / 7840U devices. I'm thinking of doing a separate video that focuses on performance with live examples because otherwise, that review would've been an hour long! 🤣🤣
I can't use anything in custom TDP , as soon as I click the custom setting , everything lags and stutters and frames drop below 20 , I've tried every setting no matter the wattage this happens , so I can only use performance setting
@GameTechTalk yeah, I can't help but wonder if a true streaming rig isn't where we'll end up rather than having 5 different devices with all that processing power. I can already play steam remotely and Xbox pc remotely, etc. Be nice to have 1 powerful box and everything else is just a terminal, if you catch my drift....
