Me too. How has it been so far? Played any games on it yet? I noticed mine heats up when I use the rtx card for some games. The aluminum chassis makes it even worse as it absorbs a ton of heat Everything else is great apart from that though
@manithperera6330 yeah I don't have rapid charging on but that makes sense thanks. Also do you think that charging it upside down would be better to allow for more airflow?
@@MasterKingHawk yeah I guess it would work but I'd rather just get a stand for ventilation I'm not tech savvy so I don't know if keeping it upside down is advised
This was a review unit but it’s been available on the Lenovo website for at least 3 weeks. Check out their site, it’s actually on sale now for a killer price if it’s still in stock
Would you recommend a 1080p or 1440p external monitor when playing AAA games with the version with AMD RYZEN 7 7840hs and RTX 4050. I thought QHD would be way too demanding, but seeing how well the Rtx 3050 handles 1200p and 1600p resolution, I was wondering if that’s not true.
@TechGuyBeau But it does seem to be running pretty hot while gaming. I saw some of the games were running close to 90c. I have the same laptop and the aluminum chassis also absorbs a lot of heat which makes it worse. Could it be dangerous to let it continue running hot in the long term?
@@manithperera6330heat always impacts the longevity of any device the cooler the better so buy a cooling pad and make sure the laptop can get enough airflow if that’s your main concern
Would you recommend this in 2024? It’s currently on sale for $900. Also I’ve heard there is a new version with a better CPU but I can’t seem to find it anywhere
This one is the same like the Lenovo - Slim 7 Pro X 14" 3K Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS-CE - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 MAXQ with 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD - Onyx Grey I have been trying to find the reviews and release date but I don't find nothing can you help with this? And do you think its worth $900 dollars or there's others betters options? Thanks in advance .
There is no harm to leaving it on, and it primarily helps with keeping the Lowe’s up I fine. If you aren’t gaming though it’s not gonna make any difference
use this for digital media and gaming. I notice it does get hot when I play games. I'm a beginner and would this be good as a beginner gaming set up and get a monitor? Or should i get a pc?
Wow, I didn't know that. Thank you. What of the power limit range? And do you think it is better to buy this or buy the 4050 because of DLSS 3.0 and frame gen?
@@ikennaonwunli5072 the 3050 low power is in this model, I had a much higher wattage 3050 in the LOQ. Frame generation is massively overrated but dlss 3 is nice. The 4050 will perform slightly better. But I would base it on price. If the price is similar go 4050. If the price is much more, meh. Get the 3050
@@Smart_boy2001 if the 2060 is 90w it will outperform this model which is about half that. A high wattage 3050 will do quite well, but they are found in thicker gaming laptops
