I have owned the i9/4K version with 64GB of RAM and 4TB of SSD for 5 months now. The 2 fans are constantly running and the only remedy is disconecting the workstation from AC power to get some peace for 2 hours before recharging the internal battery again. Whilst on battery the screen dims each time one changes from one application to another. And before I forget, a major fingerprint magnet. Paid almost A$7,000 for my machine and should have stayed with my T440s.
@@ObserveJeremiah Hi Jeremiah, I have tried everything in my power, including inviting a Lenovo technician to access my computer remotely, several BIOS flashes and taking off the back plate to inspect and clean the fans. The workstation hisses like a hairdryer unless it is disconnected from AC power as I mentioned and even then they come on just typing a WORD document.
@@ObserveJeremiah It could well be that you do not have the i9 processor in your P1 Gen3 version. This configuration was only available for a short time and is no longer available from Lenovo.
@ObserveJeremiah I have the 4k display, same laptop that you, only one difference the screen… I have the laptop with 20 battery cycles, it is new, but to watch videos on RU-vid I have a duration of 2h and 30 min with the laptop and to browse Inter and do work with Microsoft 365 around 5h, is that normal? … will the 4k screen be battery consuming? please help
