Thanks for this video. Saved my bacon! The only difficult bit was when I dropped a screw, and spent 15 minutes on my hands and knees! Why god why are the screws so tiny?
I can confirm that I swapped a faulty LG (LP141WP3 P/N:42T0730 FRU: 42T0731) unit for a Samsung (LTN141BT09 P/N 42T0726 FRU:42T0727) from and other T410 and they both worked in the swapped over laptop. This was a lot easier than getting the to CPU fan!!
hi, I need to replace my screen in T410. Could you tell me what model I need exactly? Is it possible to use a better one, which would produce better colours etc. I am using mine for editing photos so wonder if I could get a better replacement to the standard one,,,? any clues? thanks again for sharing the post!
I have two T400 WXGA screens, (with housings) Is it possible to take the LCD out and fit it in a T410 being the same size? Are the connectors the same, or can you adapt it. T410 LCD's are expensive, and more than the unit is worth.
You forgot to emphasize to be careful taking off the cable tape on the back side.It is easy to lift up the plastic sheet that the tape is attached to if you use the method as described. Then you cannot get it back properly. and this is more serious than you think as it will show on your screen as dark or shaded areas.I did two, one lifting up from the side of the connector, and one as described from the back side, first went ok, second I dagamed the screen (but only slightly).
Can anyone tell me wich other laptops have a compatible led screeen with this one? maybe any acer, asus or any other brand? Im looking for a cheap faulty laptop to take its screen for my t410
We don't carry this screen anymore, if you forward to 8:08 in the video you will see the part number this model uses, if that's a match with yours (you will need to remove to verify) you can search for it on Amazon or Ebay. It's a pretty obsolete screen but but you may be able to still find one.
