helping a mate who has this model. his keyboard had a water spill and needs to be replaced which looks a total pain, having to remove the board and possibly the screen first as its integrated into the palmrest.

I have seen a few BX500 Drives die that i have sold, so i have since swapped to the more premium MX500 SSD's There is not much that can go loose inside the laptop regarding the hard drive

it will vary between exact models of the V110 it would be best to open your machine and check prior to buying parts

hi, bit of a tech newbie here. Great video, really helpful. Would this effectively wipe the laptop? Would I need to reinstall windows, transfer files, etc... onto the laptop after doing this? If so how would I go about it? Thanks for any help guys.

yes replaceing the hard drive, would mean you would need to do a fresh install of windows or clone you data from the old drive to the new
