The 4GB of RAM is killing it for me. How the hell our phone have more RAM than a full Windows 10 device is beyond me... 8GB RAM should be a standard for a laptop this expensive.
Yep. I was about tobuy this but ipad pro and surface pro allow we to draw on the screen. If we find a laptop, the keyboard of this device is hard to type without mistakes for me,
I know most of them work like that but he Lenovo sensor literally tells you to just tap the sensor . He was actually holding his finger on it too long. Lol it took me awhile to get used to it
I was literally shouting at the screen. You have to hold your finger on it for at least 5 seconds to calibrate it properly. This burk kept tapping on it. Grrr
Actually the Lenovo finger print scanner tells you to just tap it.lol he was actually holding his finger too long . It is very wierd and takes time to get used to
Lenovo is garbage, i made the dumb decision to buy Lenovo notebooks for 2 times in a row and i am very disappointed. The fingerprint sensor is garbage, the trackpad is not responsive and the fan runs always at max speed for no reason, i backed up windows and removed everything from it but the fan only stops if i unplug it from the power source
The price is super high. But, fyi, this device is really targeted to the same consumer who might be interested in some of the other large eink tablets (ie. Boox, reMarkable; Sony's, and I don't remember it's name, etc.). They all have really high price tags (Boox is closer to reasonable but they're all silly expensive) for what they are too. But, some people are interested in a digital writing experience that feels like paper and that's what these devices claim to offer. My point: the price is because of the eink display; it's not in spite of it. If you're just looking for a 2 in 1 and don't care about the writing/drawing experience as much then this wouldn't be of interest to you.
I like how the F and J keys have the divots on them so you can know where your home position is without looking but it’s a flat surface so they aren’t even functional.
I like the idea but it needs to be super responsive because it looks kind of slow. It also needs word suggestion as you type, like with the Android keyboard, which is something I'm not seeing in this product!...
If only it has android version. I'm still using the first gen android and for daily driver, going in and out meetings, media consumption, there's nothing lacking. Wonder if I could port android to this thing.
@Tech Spurt - wonder if you are familiar with the One Netbook One Mix Pocket Laptop and the GPD Pocket 2 as I have been looking for a small Windows laptop that has touch capabilities (pen) and will 'yoga' with some decent specs. I learn a lot from your videos and find your humour an added bonus. Thank you.
@@rue5344 I love mine, haven't checked out any other device in this range since i got mine. Better to check for the newer alternatives before you decide to get one.
There is no surprise, experimental and concept products come costly. The product fails if demand is low. This is most impressive of all the foldables as it brilliantly thought of integrating e-ink display. Specs are really low. The secondary display should also contain the menu of application launched on primary display as it would give large workspace area.
You have been fooled with today`s bezel less trend, think!!! If a tablet had no bezels where would you hold it without accidentally touching the display with you fingers and palm? Agree on the spec side.
I like it, this is my idea of a true portable Windows laptop nowadays...but why did they cut its legs short by putting only 4gb of ram on Windows 10?! Also, they could make a slightly wider version to accommodate bigger keyboard keys, slimmer bezels and that fingerprint reader can't fail that often!!
can you test the other intel version? intel m was it? i only want to know 2 things.1. can it charge from a normal powerbank? 2. how is the battery life? i currently own the first gen yogabook and i am happy using it as my daily driver.
hi im planning on buying a yogabook gen1. how its holding up after years?did it had any problem with the windows updates?if you could tell me your experience it would be great.
@@tamasrollig757 i love it for its thin design and long battery life. but it does feel slow when i open mischief, photoshop, and a browser with extended screen, bluetooth keyboard and mouse. when i am out though i use the halo keyboard. i am used to it, not that fast at typing but it gets the job done, better than the on screen keyboard. it sometimes takes too long to show the password when waking the laptop from sleep. i think it is a windows problem and not the yogabook. you can force it to show by using ctrl+alt+del. battery is great. can be charged with powerbank through the micro usb. best you use fast charger. pen needs no battery and works great halo keyboard is ok for non work related typing. i use a bluetooth keyboard when i need to type fast or i am at home. lightroom isnt the fastest but works well enough for me. photoshop is also not as fast but does the job.
An expensive gimmick with borderline insulting spec per price ratio. Window's OEMs are trying to slow the diving sales but this is no savior. Disappointing to say the least.
Pros: The hinge, runs Windows 10, small form factor, backlit keyboard, micro SD slot can put in a 512gb card. Can't stand the non-hinge keyboards like on the MS SurfacePro. If I'm using a keyboard, I need a hinge.
How did the first Yoga book cost £550 for the Windows version and 2 years later it doubles in price. It was overpriced then and now it's just a joke. Anyone in their right mind should never pay that much money for something like this. Think of the PC you can build with that money and have money to buy a wacom tablet. Edit: Horrible battery the first one had 8500mAh...
try to carry the pc in your backpack. jokes aside, the c930 is expensive AF but for a reason. it has a much better cpu ,storage and display then the previous one, also the eink keyboard/drawboard must be expensive to make.
Looks difficult to open. The LTE version is not available in the US. Is it in the UK? In the Lenovo fora, people are asking where the f is the Kindle app, for use with the e-ink display. This was promised but...
I use a YotaPhone with e-ink screen more than 2 years and I really don't understand where is the problem to create such a tablet. Why this does not replicate ALL THE FUNCTIONS on the eink screen? I even watch movies often on my eink gsm! Especially serials we just listen to them, not really watching... Also the parameters of this does not look good. Video card, RAM is small, processor is 1Ghz??? wtf
Strange i bought the wrong one im so disappointed. it's supposed to be a yoga book but has no e ink. what have i done? can someone tell me were did he buy his with an e ink display?
Only black and white... The first good color ones came out just this year. Boox Nova color is a 7.8" lovely color e-ink device. The color is far from perfect. But once you go through the hassle of setting it up and the two of you learning how to work together, it's my favorite device for carrying around and writing. It's front lit and so can be used in bright Sun or lower light. Not throwing shade on this little beauty. It just exists for a different purpose. And years after Lenovo discontinued it I turned heaven and Earth over to find myself a new one... Arriving soon.
Hi Everyone, i am planning to teach maths online using microsoft onenote, and i need to use skype screen share to let my cousin see while i solve the problems, i just need to know if the skype version on this Yoga tablet would support screen share option, and would this yoga worth buying for above mentioned purpose? please advise
you also have to roll your finger sideways and stuff so it can capture your whole fingerprint, sort of like your phone. your going so fast man slow it down a bit lol
I dont like virtual keys on the 2in1 tablet-notebooks and dashboard of cars. I think must be old style if you dont want a mistake. And not adaptable for Turkish language because we speakin kind of latinas alphabet. I cant use sticker here :)
They didn't throw the hardware far enough into the future I think... Personal opinion. I'll know better soon how good a device it is I found one. There is one really good review of this out there somewhere that was done a little later than when it first came out.
I clicked because the photo on the laptop on the thumbnail has a weird nose deer thing like id pet it but with caution because it looks like a trippy deer, a nose deer, a noseer? a deeser? a dooseer? Help
Just think about a cup without a real grip on it. They say you can hold it with its touch grip. This is not really stupid as much as this laptop's touch keyboard. It's beyond stupidity and plus very expensive unnecessarily..
@@JoeLinux2000 sorry if you don't get the sarcasm, you buy a really bad product to use linux on, I'm sure developers don't gonna make the big amount of effort of make an digital keyboard, for just one fancy unpopular laptop, well, if you try Linux and recognises the second screen you can use digital keyboard from Ubuntu I guess!
oh Man. I was hoping for the top comment to be a Microsoft Edge joke. oh well. Guess i'll just make it. Edge: What is my purpose? Me: You download chrome.
