I have the Cascadia 4x4 panel on my Tundra. People always ask what it is. It is a lifesaver for trips when I run my fridge and chargers. Also, living in FL I have endless ☀️
Hello jesse, I'm a Japanese who is always watching your channel! I bought this solar panel after watching this video. I'm looking forward to installing it on My TACOMA! I'm looking forward to your video in the future!
Thank you for this review. Look like good add for simple solutions to maintain the battery charge, and for be sure the fridge have all the power they need when your park so e where... I think I m gonna put this on my Tacoma 👍
I ran the Cascadia Unit for exactly 2 years and 6 days.... the solar hood panel makes sense, and I don't know if I got a bad apple, but 6 days after warranty, I diagnosed the panel with a desoldered / broken link.... It stopped working and hooked it up to a voltmeter and pressed in different areas till i found the sweet spot... there was nothing I could do... No more hood panel since they are so fucking expensive / watt... Renology makes a true 100watt panel that is no mounted on the roof rack. Easier to replace if needed and much cheaper for more wattage.
I am currently I the middle of a warranty claim on a 200w flexible panel from these guys (Lensun Solar) that I had mounted to the roof of my RTT since may2023 (its AUG 2023 @ time of writing). Maybe it will get better but currently I have not been impressed, my issue hasn't been resolved, and the panel just up and quit working. No visible damage. Just stopped working.
I actually need a solar panel like this. I'm a truck driver and I leave my personal vehicle at the yard for about a week. I have a 2013 tacoma. The reason I want a solar panel is so that I may be able to run my dash cam 24/7 Without having to drain my battery, atleast till i get back to the yard. My question is, do you think this solar panel can be used for that purpose too?
Looking at getting one for mine. Do you have any power wired straight from your battery to power things? The truck only lets the accessory power run for a bit
No it’s actually better they even advertise on there website but this actually eliminates the glare from your factory hood the material they use is like a anti glare
I ordered from Lensun and haven't heard or received anything from them yet, nor does anyone pick up the phone...did you have any issues receiving your order or customer service issues?
@@JesseRizo I have recently received communication from them. The vinyl is delayed due to out of stock. How is the product now that you've been using it?
So far it’s still holding up and I’ve put a lot of miles since I installed it as long as you prep the surface correctly and put enough tape you’ll be fine
It’s off course not for everyone but I think it’s fair for what you get, It’ll also help keep your battery life for a longer period of time and you also can now add a dual battery setup with this setup and it looks nice on the hood, it has a lot of pros to it I know price is up there but the pros you get it out weigh it in my opinion of course it’s not for everyone
@@JesseRizo That I was thinking it could useful if you have dual battery setup Any extra charge you can save in the extra battery Never need to worry about a dead battery Unless for you have poor weather and bad batteries 😅
@@JesseRizo is it oxidized? My Colorado got screwed when i took it into a blue wave and guy infront of me put hot wax and it kept dripping till i was next 😭
