8:03 the true reason is its better in scenarios where the opponent would hurtbox shift in the dragdown thus making them not get hit by upsmash, or when normal up air would miss. Leo just does it out of muscle memory i think lol
For anyone who doesn’t know, the reason some Jokers will go for a reverse up air in kill confirm situations is because at higher percents certain characters can’t actually be kill confirmed off of the normal up air. It’s just a helpful trick
What's the reason for that? Do those certain characters fall out of the move or is the reverse hitbox bigger or something else? I thought he was maybe doing it to throw off DI or something
@@JamesNG_ I don’t know much about it, but I do know that the hitbox of Joker up air is on his feet so on those particular kill confirms if the opponent gets hit they’re getting hit with the part of up air that’s closer to Joker’s top bone. This means that, as far as I can tell from just the little I’ve seen, they’re positioned for the up smash at a distance relative to Joker that allows the up smash to be true. Going for normal up air for some reason allows a player to shield the up smash in some situations, likely due to it being easier to DI out of the lower quadrant of joker’s up air hurtbox. Hope this helps!
I think the thing with smash players and other fighting games is that theres always that rough feeling about changing from what youre used to. Not a lot of people like going outside that comfort zone to try new stuff anymore. And the ones that do dont like how it feels
Almost any throw or move that consistently puts you in a tech chase, I’m pretty sure you have the option to DI up to escape the tech situation. If you’re a fast faller you a can DI (down I think?) for more reliable techs. Don’t quote me on the last one tho
16:18 I didn't notice this when I saw it it live but damn Zomba basically lost his stock with this greedy/misinput side B like he did the last time they played(Zomba died to Arsene down air at 0)
All Greninja mains should be aware Upsmash doesn't connect into th 2nd hit at all at Stadium platform height, its not jank thats literally too high and the platform cant bring them down enough into the hitbox. It's a player mistake
Yo riddles! Do you do lessons or anything? Or is there a way I can learn from you? I watch you all the time, your videos and working on being able to watch streams, lol. I just want to learn how to improve as Terry and Kazuya
