@Sizzlin’ Assasin Not at all. It's all the mouthpiece and reed you use. Any mouthpiece above 6* should do. With a 3.5 strength reed.

@@christianp4123 It's not a good neck strap, mouthpiece pad, or good grip. Do you play bari sax? I do, and I know. You need a mouthpiece with at least a tip opening 6*. You need to have a neck strap, but not a good one. Why don't you explain why I'm wrong if you know what it takes?

An unpopular way to do it would be to bite the reed however I would not recommend doing it for obvious reasons
