I’ve always wondered, what was Salazars plan if he did kill Leon? Was he just going to stay in that room attached to the wall for the rest of his life?
The animation and voice acting of Salazar is world class. When he gets the knife through the hand and he stumbles into the lift you can really see the pain he’s in and how he’s trying not to show weakness by attempting the laugh it off whilst clutching his hand in agony.
@@ilhamseptian1604 He says so much cringeworthy shit throughout this game. And maybe I’m just a dick, but nobody with that haircut is a true badass in real life.
Salazar was always my favorite of the baddies in RE4. He just has that odd, yet fantastical vibe with his monstrous guards and twisted medieval castle. Also he was the most entertaining imo.
Whats funnier is this. As a vietnamese, the name Ramón Salazar is somewhat hilarious. "Ra Món" in vietnamese means "bring out the dish". From that, i always think that Ramón loves a type of food known as salazar. So he calls himself "Ramón Salazar" lol
Been kind of a nostalgia trip today watching RE4 videos. I never played it myself because I'm too easily stressed out while playing games and horror usually isn't my thing, but the summer I turned 14 my stepsister and I would stay up with my Dad in the evenings while he played on the Wii. I found it kind of terrifying, but I also ended up getting super invested in the story, lol. My sis also developed a huge crush on Leon and we had so many great RE4 inside jokes. Good times.
@@Bcap222 Different people have different ideas about what's considered scary. Just because it didn't scare you doesn't mean it wouldn't scare someone else.
Salazar: Prepare yourself. Mr Kennedy. *Laughs as he begins to transform but sees Leon loading up a rocket launcher* Salazar: I've made a grave mistake.
Cutting this scene in the remake is easily my biggest gripe. It's just... such a mistake. Every line of dialogue here is absolutely masterful and the knife thing is just so on point with the significance of the knife in the remake. I literally deducted a whole point from my own personal review of the game on the loss of this scene and the "don't fall for this old trick" moment missing. In fact the player has no idea why Verdugo is suddenly chasing him in the remake... he just decides he's fed up, I guess.
Ahh memories. I remember finding a RPG somewhere inside the castle and I carried it all the way to the boss fight singing little boy blue where are you and as soon as he transformed I fired the rocket and killed him instantly. I was LMAO cause at the time I didn't know the rocket launcher was a one shot.
Honestly prefer this over the remake, feels way more badass and important, even his transformation is impactful and shows how he is truly no longer human, just a monster at this point Also Leon feels like an elite special forces assassin/super ninja in this game compared to the remake. You can clearly see how insanely capable he is to where he can solo an entire game on his own, in an island full of biohazards that no one has encountered before. In the remake, he seems like just another solider who would be part of Chris Redfields unit, rather than someone who is on equal footing and could defeat Chris, someone you wish fought against Wesker himself before Wesker's death in RE5.
I am torn between a feeling of pity for that boy's whimper of shock and pain, and laughing my ass off because it's Ramon Salazar we're talking about here!
It feels like theyve added more content lol. Fr the reason i like new more is ebcaue it feels like a re game. Re4 just did not feel liek a sequel to the other re games at all. Big reason was becuase the game was too broghr which this game fixed it was a little campy (there can still be cheesy one liners wothour it feeling campy) re4 is an amazing game but just not an amazinf re gake it feela anlotnmroe like the otehr re games now woth action and mroe horror and a lot lot better pacing. I love both games but re4 remake is mt prefered favoeite but i can see both being prefferee. One thing o defidently think they hd worse was the monster attacking toy while the elavator was coming for example
@@ol-Sean-lo the remake looks awful they obviously made a remake because the original was better slap urself since eu weren't there when it came out plus it's woke so the remake is sh1t
The remake is NEVER supposed to be an exact 1 to 1 clone more or less a reimagined version of the same story. And for what it’s worth all the recent remake releases have been pretty good
what will be wrong. I'm sure. Salazar's face will show no such emotion. In the remake, he looks like an old man instead of a child. Which will already prevent the scene from the original from repeating.
**Salazar's Final Form Appears** **Leon Destroys Him With 1 Rocket** Me:.........Well. That was anticlimactic. Unless that was an exploit, I don't think that could've been any easier. I mean, really. Is that just an easy way of killing him, or the NECCESSARY way to kill him? Because if it's the latter, all I want to do is snore.
You can just keep shooting the eye until Salazar exposes himself and then shot him with your sniper rifle or magnum, but yes, the rocket launcher is the easiest way to do it.
It would be hardest boss fight ever remember you killed one of his bodyguards already now think if he converted into that beast with help of both of his bodyguard ....lol
I always feel weird about the robot...like, what did Salazar even needed it for? I can understand the indoor pool, the creepy secret passages, hell even the rooms with traps like spiky ceilings cause you know, rich old-money folks and shit, but robot?? The hell he needed it for??
You know strangely if you do a full 180* turn when he's about to do his 1-hit-kill thing, you'll completely dodge it? I tried it out the first time cause I learned the 2 Giant Ganado fight shows a different scene if your back is turned while one drags you into the lava with him, but when I tried it here, it just dodges. I even did it several times so I know it's not a fluke :/
When I did this in vr, I was laughing as much as he was at the fact One he got stabbed Two he was acting like a baby And three his bodyguard chucked the knife
Leon: "This is no ritual; this is Terrorism!!" Salazar: "Isn't that a popular word these days??" As a reminder, this game came out around 2005, and this game was in development during the 9/11 attacks.
