fact: leon and sayaka were the first two to be created to the point where the devs got so annoyed at the sight of the two so they killed them first just because they hated seeing them
@@shadowpheniox1677 I mean to be fair, he was panicked and was scared. Most people who panic and are scared tend to not make the best decisions during the heat of the moment. It's only when they calm down when they realized the choice they made was the wrong choice.
@@coffingirlie nah in the game leon himself went all the way to his room just to broke the bathroom sayaka was hiding using a screwdriver because he thought it was her room and since only boys were given toolkits and not girls MEANS that he actually had chance to stop and just tell everybody what happened

I was watching the anime and my absolute favorite character was Chihiro I tend to get attached to fictional characters easily, and I already started liking Leon from the moment I saw him but I just fell for Chihiro GuEsS wHaT hApPeNeD tO cHiHiRo I screamed and cried Literal screaming That's why I don't get into anime
Death Itself Well then, the games will tear you apart cause things only get worse after the first game (this anime) I got attach to Leon real quick then mondo,,,, then Ishimaru but you know how that went. :)
FizzyZoda Leon dies first because the people that made danganronpa created Leon and the blue hair girl (forgot name) first, they kept coming back to them so they made them 2 die first
(For people who haven't read the manga) Fact: Sayaka's torso-stab wound was entirely on accident. Leon only deflected her attacks, then after she ran into the bathroom, he tried to calm her down and even offered to talk it out. Once he got the door opened, she begged him not to kill her, and he told her he wouldn't. Unfortunately, his trying to get the knife out of her hands with her fighting back led to the impalement. After that, he felt like he didn't have any other choice but to finish it. Leon isn't completely out of the wrong, he still killed her, but he definitely did not deserve what he got.
... Except the manga isn't canon since the creator of the series had no involvement in the manga. So, anything that's in the manga, but not in the game or anime isn't canon.
but it isnt in the game, in the game, she "locked" herself in the bathroom and leon forcefully went in and killed her, sp he is still a murderer that persisted with the kill and didnt back off, so he is kinda brutal and cold-blooded
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FACT HE HAD A *PANIC ATTACK* AND THEN FELL TO THE GROUND IN *TEARS* BEFORE *CLAWING AT THE WALLS* TO ESCAPE??? he had the most human reaction out of any killer and you can tell he really didn't think he'd ever be in that situation my heart broke and i was sobbing smhhhh
Poco Loco I hate Sayaka, I feel bad for him to be honest. I mean the crazy bitch tried to kill him. He *could have* gone back to his room, but would you even consider that when someone was trying to kill you? She could have framed him, or really anything else.
Leon and Sayaka were both pretty good, but I can understand the designers getting sick of them since they were used as the base for every other character. :)
it's a shame he went first. he had such a cool personality, a cool design and pretty much everything you'd like in a character. they only killed him off because they drew him first and got tired of drawing him, i miss leon...
His execution was by far the most heartbreaking for me. Not only did Leon totally not deserve what he got, but hearing him beg for his life was crushing, and the way he died seemed like one of the most brutal, blunt force trauma is horrific. Although, maybe it's extra gut-wrenching because his VA did almost the exact same voice for him and Kirishima, so hearing essentially blue-eyed Kirishima begging for his life is... something. Yeah I know I'm probably too emotionally invested in anime rn but we're in quarantine what else is there lmao
But the fact that he *came back* and then killed Sayaka means that hes guilty. But we where on his side till that moment. Asking questions like "Why did he do it?" Or "Theres a way to give him a chance right?" But no. Thats the game, He killed her. Now he has to pay the price, now matter your attachment, love, his kindness, or him having some spiritual connection as a character. He killed someone, so its his job. And again, you connect with him. So seeing his AGONY in his final moments makes you wonder how much PAIN and SUFFERING hes going through. And the fact its Kiri's VA makes a cherry on the already flavorful cake of despair. Cause you see Kiri as a hero, a friend, a relatable character, and never giving up in despair. But seeing not 1, but 2 of the same person you like being tormented is just an awful feeling. But hey, isint thats what Danganronpa is all about?
@@Yoshiro-w3h Yea, If the baseballs dont severely hit Leons important organs like the lungs or the heart. He could be able to survive, But I think Monokuma could easily kill him off if he was still alive. Not being able to defend himself due to his aching arms and legs and all. But I really wanted him to survive though ;-;
Little fun fact about my reaction to his death: I used to play softball when I was younger, and seeing his death by being PELTED WITH BASEBALLS was why his death scared me the most out of the game. As a kid, I was terrified of the machines the couches used to shoot balls for us to hit, and I hated when I got hit with baseballs. It hurts. Him being pelted to death by baseballs just made me want to.. cry? I loved Leon and this death was unique but it just triggered something inside me that made me have to look away for a minute. Edit: I know I wrote this but I also don’t remember writing this

well..They know it’s someone among their circle which is pretty small, but in the real world, there are thousands or millions of people that were in the area when the crime happened. So anyone could’ve done it. So it’s obvious that it’s going to take some more time.
*Leon trying to defend himself, and Monokuma killing him anyway* Me, looking at my Monokuma plush: I think I'm gonna have to put you in the freezer for time out
If Leon had just ran away and tell the others after braking Sayaka's wrist, It would count as Sayaka not getting away with murder. Thus, she would get executed.
The after-trial scene was impressively DE-pressing. Even more so than in the visual novel since they're not limited to a limited number of sprites, Leon's tearful breakdown was gut-wrenching to watch because of the sheer _fear_ in his voice. He didn't sound angry, he sounded _desperate_ to plead his case instead of just being labeled as a killer.
What's worse is that's it in the canon manga (which gives points that Makoto couldn't label), Leon didn't *actually* kill Sayaka, and that she thrashed into her own knife. Not even Monokuma could see what really happened since there were no cameras in the bathroom. The reason Leon said it was self defense was because he knew nobody would believe him, thinking that if he said it was self defense, Monokuma would let him off the hook. Man, Leon's design was WASTED😭 He really didn't need to die.
@@chez6328 only thing I think he did wrong was try to go back to her. Should have just left her alone after her attempt to kill him, or gotten the others.
@@thespectaculargamernerd8114 Yeah, actually that's true. As much as I love Leon, I can't deny that he made a big mistake. Poor guy. He was a unique character. Shame he had to be the first blackened
@@mr.doctorbusiness5110 Mostly because while yes he wasn't totally innocent in this situation he was also partially a victim himself due to the fact it's later revealed during this trial Sayaka never loved Makoto and only played the role of "scared girlfriend" in order to get him to agree to the idea of switching rooms including nameplates and not tell anyone as part of a plot to murder Leon, and frame Makoto for the murder. And there are fans who state had Leon just went back into his room and stayed he could've had a case for self-defense, but he lost that chance when he used his toolkit to further brake Makoto's bathroom door and kill Sayaka. Plus there was also the chance that had Sayaka used her window and escaped she would've ran back to Makoto and once again pretend to be the "scared girlfriend" and tell Makoto that Leon followed her, broke into the room, and tried to murder her going so far as to use the fact Leon shattered all of the bones in her right wrist with the wooden sword as a way to prove to Makoto that Leon was acting like a murderous psychotic stalker out to get her which would've resulted in Makoto going to Leon's room and demand to speak with him about Sayaka's accusation including mentioning that Sayaka showed him her broken right wrist and how Leon shattered all of the bones in it with the wooden sword sowing seeds of mistrust between Leon and Makoto. Even though as Leon stated after he was correctly voted as Sayaka's killer that he didn't want to do it that she pushed him to do it, and that yes he had considered staying in his room so he can make a self-defense case against her, but he ultimately chose to finish her off aka kill her believing that if she remains alive she'll either make a new plot to kill him, or make a plot to go after Makoto or one of the others and that he was trying to protect himself, and them from as he put it a "psychotic manipulative bitch".
The part when he says “you’d all have done the same thing if you were in my shoes!” Really hurts because you can hear his desperation and it’s just so unfair 🥺
No argument there. Especially since he states he was considering staying in his room that way it could be argued against Sayaka that Leon shattering her right wrist was him defending himself against a manipulative psychotic attacker remember it was revealed that Sayaka's plan was murder Leon in Makoto's room and have Makoto be successfully framed for it. So as he was trying to explain that he was caught between a rock and a hard place aka a lose-lose situation it was either let Sayaka remain alive and failing to argue self-defense due to her using Makoto as a way to get him and everyone else to distrust him, therefore giving Sayaka more then enough time to make a new plot to murder him, or a plot to murder either Makoto, or anyone else in the group, or finish her off and not give her a chance to try and weasel out and try a murder plot again. Again his argument for mercy was him trying to protect himself and everyone else from a as he put it "manipulative psychotic bitch".

Leon is such a relatable character. Down to his personality to his reaction to being discovered and knowing he is going to be murdered. While most other victims would accept their defeat, he collapsed onto the ground and had a full on panic attack. Anyone who claims they wouldn’t have that kind of reaction is likely lying. Sayaka wasn't a snake, she was a scared teenager just like everyone else there who wanted to make sure her friends (her Idol troupe) - who were like family to her - were safe, plus, she never made it to trial, so she never knew about the "everyone else dies if they can't figure out" whodunit"" rule, so she didn't know she'd be damning everyone else to a brutal death, odds are her thought process was: >kill 11037 >frame Naegi >escape >check on her friends > get help > save everyone > Apologise to Naegi > accept the consequences for murder (Monokuma would've told them it was her) As for 11037, while breaking Sayaka's wrist was fair game, THAT was self defence since she was coming at him with a kitchen knife, the moment she hid in the bathroom and he left to go back to his room, that should've been the end of it, that being self defence I can buy. However, what's NOT self defense is him grabbing his issued toolkit, going all the way back to Naegi/Maizono's room, breaking down the door, and finishing the job, heck, love her or hate her, Celeste points this out to him and us post trial, if I remember, she said something along the lines of: "you had every chance to stop what you were doing, every chance to turn back, but did you? No." Neither are blameless victims in this case, although if blame should be placed anywhere, it should be on Monokuma/Junko for putting them in that situation to begin with.
Well Leon didn’t have to kill her, while her wrist was broken he could have just went back to his room that way Sayaka would have probably respected him and they would still be alive.
@@Ryan_C_GH are you ill? She didn't give a fuck about anyone else. Not a single bit. She tried to kill leon from despair and while it backfired she hid in bathroom and wrote leons name upside down. She doesn't give a shit about anyone else here bro. Even Kyoko said she was thinking of Naegi while she wrote that message to save his ass because her plan failed even though she double-crossed him. When he started crying, sitting on his knees, the entire Danganronpa has proven itself. That's definitely a reaction of a teenager who once lived a normal life, but got in this sorry of a school life.
sweet baby boy,, I love you,, you deserved so much better,, 🥺💖 edit: i didn’t expect this to get so many likes!! i actually own a leon fanpage on insta for those who want heartwarming content of the most precious THH boy. 🥺 it’s @leonkuwatafanpage 💕
When its confirm that leon was the murderer and his voice start the crack up I just- its so sad I don't like it and it just gets me right in the feels :(
It was NOT self-defense, he broke into a bathroom to murder a defenseless girl. Even if she tried to kill him earlier, she long-since stopped being a threat. I agree that he didn't deserve it, but for a different reason (for the same reason Sayaka didn't deserve it actually). The Bear's game was simply too much for him.
@@slashhood1555 bruh if he left her there with a broken wrist and scared to death she would of told everyone and spun it as a lie and probably convinced someone to kill leon for her since she was influential as the ultimate pop sensation… he was scared shitless and felt like he HAD to kill her
@@marilyn975 cause he is stupid if he thought he could have convinced someone to kill her then simply tell the others that the one who killed her is the killer like that he gets rid of sayaka and the killer just like fuyuhiko you get me
Poor leon R.I.P leon Me:DON'T DO THIS MONOKUMA U LITTLE BRAT!!!! Leon:*died* Edit:Omg! 508 likes? Dats so many! :D Edit 2: DATS SO ALL LOT! 608 LIKES!? TYSM!!! Edit 3: this comment I commented is a year ago but ty for the likes :D Edit: Holy fuck this is too much-
Granted, he did purposely go to his room to get a toolkit and break into Makoto’s bathroom, but if he had just locked himself in his dorm and hid for the rest of the night, it probably would’ve made things worse for him. Come morning, Sayaka would claim that Leon attacked her first, and almost everyone would believe her. After all, who are you more likely to believe? A popular girl idol with visible attack wounds, or a random boy with no alibi whatsoever? Sure, Hina and Sakura saw Sayaka enter and leave the kitchen, and Leon could have shown everyone the note Sayaka gave him, but those alone couldn’t prove Sayaka a lier. Almost everyone would have wanted to kill Leon. In the end, he was just a terrified kid who desperately wanted to go home, he didn’t want to die in the academy with everyone hating him. He’s definitely not innocent, but you can’t deny it’s hard to blame him for what he did
Due to how to brutal this execution was they actually censor it in the anime by not showing the aftermath/body reveal, yeah in the game Trigger Happy Havoc they actually show the aftermath and let's just say I don't blame the producers of Danganronpa: The Animation making the decision to have the aftermath censored aka not showing Leon's badly bruised, and badly mangled body because seeing the aftermath of Leon's execution was one of the F'd up scenes in Trigger Happy Havoc.
There’s something so dark about Leon’s death compared to the rest, while it is still overtop slapstick in a way. The way you see the bloody ball rolling away from his body really left a mark in my mind!
