Leonard demos the Lindy Fralin Steel Pole 43 (SP43) for Telecaster 

I’ve had them in a couple of guitars and they’ve never sounded dark. Granted, both were inherently bright guitars, but I can’t imagine they’d be overly dark sounding in just about any guitar. Thanks so much for watching.

Thank you. Do you mean bridge or bridge pickup? If the latter, they’re both Fralin SP43s. If the former, it’s a standard, Fender vintage style bridge but with compensated brass saddles.

Thanks so much. If your Strat pickups are low output, the SP42 would likely be a good match, but if they’re a little hotter, such as Fralin Vintage Hots or Blues Specials, I’d go with the SP 43. All that said, there’s no hard and fast rule. If you’re not sure what to match with your current pickups, an option would be to email Lindy. He’s always been willing to help guide you to the right pickup.

@@leonardgriffieblues5845 I have become a little bit hesitant on the hotter wounds, but to have the option and ability to really slam an amplifier, plus your demonstration makes this super enticing.

@@44scoots dude! I have decided to go with Mr Griffin's advice, and go with the Sp 43.. on the site, they give you the choice of nickel covered screws / pole pieces or gold screws / pole pieces! I'm actually getting my strat refretted right now with Jescar EVO Gold Jumbo's, so I want to look and see what it looks like with gold frets, maybe a sp43, with gold screws..!! Taha

No, I’d put them closer to regular Fender singles. The 43s maybe slightly more due to higher output, but not as much hum as a p90. Thanks for watching.
