It was the 1982 gold medal winner of the International Tschaikowski Competition Moscow , Victoria Mullova who hated the Soviet Union and was on the run during a concert in Finnland. Then she moved to Canada and to the UnitenStates Of America . Because there she found freedom, democracy and liberty! Kogan and his son Pavel dominated the Tschaikowski Competition wich is supported by the Kremlin and its "politicians" (= dictatorship).
Pavel Kogan conducted in the finals of Tchaikovsky Competition, but I had never seen him in the jury. Therefore your statement that 'Pavel dominated the Tschaikowski Competition' is misleading.
@@IVANKOVALE of course not as a active judge and jury member but the heck....a lot of students of his father won competitions and between the sheets also Pavel "supported" the favourites of his dad.
@@prokastinatore 'a lot students of his father won competitions'. The same could be said about students of Oistrakh. And this has the same simple explanation: the best violinists among children all over the USSR dreamed to study with those great masters. Therefore Kogan and Oistrakh had possibility to select the best among the best. Usually students came to study with Kogan and Oistrakh at the age of about 16, upon the entrance in Moscow Conservatory, when the main technical violin skils were already there, trained with the other teachers.
Кстати Коган умер в 1982 году от остановки сердца в поезде, когда ехал на свой концерт. Ему было 52 года. В его игре видна коллосальная внутренняя зажатость, из за того что с детства он не имел права на свободу и ошибку. Начиная с конкурса королевы Елизаветы, на которой когану дали первую премию ( он ехал за первой премией, такова была воля Сталина). Огромная ответственность и напряжение отпечатались на лице Леонида Когана, это была трагедия, при такой технике, он был лишь марионеткой , цирковым пуделем на арене . Его сын Павел не смог стать видным скрипачем и не без участия отца стал дирижёром, и здесь уже было видно что такое протекция в советской России. Внук Дмитрий давал концерты всю жизнь, уровень его игры недотягивал даже до хорошего оркестра, но фамилия и связи семьи сделали ему карьеру, деньги и имя. Такова цена успеха в России прежней и настоящей. Конкурс Чайковского сейчас превратился в обычный малозначимый конкурс, лауреаты которого никому не известны. Культ советских скрипачей рухнул вместе с рухнувшим советским Союзом. Леонид Коган мощный виртуоз, которому советская система сломала психику, здоровье и жизнь. 😢
