No one is better than Lerdsila in the lean back. This is his most untouchable technique, allowing him to take no damage. Lerdsila's style can be defined as flowing like water. Check out his "Untouchable Striking System" full of brilliant evasive and tricky techniques.

Hope you enjoyed this breakdown on Lerdsila, this is my first breakdown of the year! I've been taking a hiatus because I've been showing new training methods to olympians, world champions, and elite coaches. We have produced and documented interesting results. This will lead "Striking Breakdowns" to focus more on techniques and training methods going forward. Thank you for your support and patience as I took this hiatus and re-shift the direction of the channel. Let me know your thoughts about this breakdown 🙏 If you want to fight like Lerdsila, we made a course together => www.lawrencekenshin.com/lerdsila

Lawrence Kenshin has always produced great breakdowns, but this is an exceptional breakdown on a beautiful system of defense. Jeff Chan aka MMAShredded teaches some of these same skills.

Woah, thank you for this one! Now I understands that my favorite Muay Thai style is the Muay Femur. Could have search it before myself but I just practice for the fun of it. Saenchai is my favorite. Lerdsila close second. All the names that you mentioned proved it more. Can't believe it took me this long to figure it out! 🥰

The most impressive part for me is how he reads his opponents, he's not reacting, he's anticipating

@@LawrenceKenshin Which means basically everyone can fight like Lerdsila, right? You don't need to be born with godlike reflexes or anything, you just need to develop high fight IQ?
@nou-nouchantha8929
@nou-nouchantha8929 Месяц назад
Its actually other way around. He is reacting not anticipating. If your anticipating your waiting for something that may or may not come. But if your reacting something has come which has made you react.
@SirPlusOfCamelot
@SirPlusOfCamelot Месяц назад
@@nou-nouchantha8929 More like he knows what his opponent is most likely to throw, and guessed the timing of the attack. It's virtually impossible to react to a punch, even if you have good reflexes. And that's one punch, during a real fight your opponent can throw a variety of punches. It would be impossible to react to every single punch, your brain simply can't process the different punches that quickly.
@nou-nouchantha8929
@nou-nouchantha8929 Месяц назад
@@SirPlusOfCamelot it can. Its reacting and acting at the same time. Through constant training and years and years of experience you pick this up. Your body and mind become so sharp, your reflexes and timing, its like your in the matrix but all it is, is training.

@The-Dom 6 дней назад
He's a master of giving and taking away. He'll stand flat footed, or drop his hands, or stick out his face to bait the obvious attack, and then dodge it easily because he is conducting the opponents attack.

9:22 Not only does it help with balance the arm swing creates momentum and therefore speed to the lean back as well.
@KalifUmestoKalifa
@KalifUmestoKalifa 2 месяца назад
The problem with leanbacks is that 'it's very vulnerable to faints. Once you lean back you can't lean back any further and if an opponent does a faint to get you to lean back and follows it quickly with another attack you're pretty much f-ed. For a nice example look at Silva vs Weidman 1

@LawrenceKenshin

Not as much as this. It gets really hard to use evasion so well when people’s fundamentals are so good. That’s why Samart Somrak and Lerdsila is rare

Examine better all his movements and you'll find that he's not just leaning back.. He's literally dodging both punches and kicks. Because of the presence of kicks, his way to dodge is adapted to the context and he has to overextend and/or widen more the space between his feet. For example, at 11:38 he's not leaning back, but he's almost turned to the other side with his spine straight, even though he's still facing the opponent. It looks like an exacerbated slip. At the start of the video, you can even see him ducking like a boxer. So, let's not say again that dodging in Muay Thay is detrimental. It isn't so! You just have to know what you're doing. That's all.

None of his opponents are top fighters, which disqualifies any legendary status, but good on him for using his skills to become a spectacle and entertain people. Make money without taking damage.
@LawrenceKenshin
@LawrenceKenshin 2 месяца назад
Well most of his footage is late stage in China, but there’s certainly some top fighters here. Who do you consider top?
@utarian7
@utarian7 2 месяца назад
@@LawrenceKenshin I should clarify, none of his opponents in this video that he clowns are top fighters. Look at his record 2010 and prior when he was fighting Thais.... You will see a great fighter no doubt but nothing even close to the demonstrations he does in this compilation. However, all credit to him, through his style, he's created a spectacle for when he's against opponents with a large skill gap. It gets good publicity, evident by the number of videos you've made about him.
