+simplystreeptacular Yes I saw this one on Broadway and immediately thought of Michael Maguire, my all-time favorite Enjolras (who actually won a Tony for his performance in the OBC).

+Maria Magdalena Schmitt Like other's say Maguire was the coolest. You could really see the burning revolution in his eyes. He had so much fire in his performance, god, I really wish I could have seen him perform in real life. And also the ones in London are always great - I especially liked the Enjolras from 2014 (I could literally talk about Enjolras forever, as a young, revolutionary socialist he's one of my all time favorite characters)

+Breene H Not really. You can watch her other videos and her voice always sounds the same. She has an interesting, stron voice, but just not for Eponine.

+Breene H I've watched this cast in 2014, and Nikki, I felt, just didn't have the same impact as Eponine as Samantha Barks, Lea Salonga, or even Frances Ruffelle did. Frances' voice is the closest to Nikki's, but even then her voice was never as high-pitched and rather "whiny"-sounding like Nikki's felt. She's a good singer, no doubt, but I was never a fan of her voice.

+Jabogers i agree, Nikki obviously is a good singer but for me personally Samantha will always be my number one Éponine. She just brings a new connection to the role. When I hear her sing the songs she makes me feel emotions the others just cant convey, and her voice is extremely powerful yet so delicate at the same time. Shes just truly amazing.

+Jabogers This video doesn't do her justice! I saw her recently and she was FANTASTIC. Her voice was the strongest in the theatre by far and she shined over a lot of the other actors. Samantha Hill's voice is much better here; in the theatre, the mixing made her (and Chris McCarrell, who here is part of the ensemble but now plays Marius) sound a little squeaky over projection.

That’s the entire reason people are so impressed in this comment section, my school performed this, and our enjorlas basically just screamed, and there’s zero musicality, or gravitas to that, it’s pitchy and irritating. Enjorlas is a hard role because his singing in this part is basically shouting, but you have to sing it

And as of right now, he knows American Sign Language too. He was part of the Deaf West company of Spring Awakening, and is now on Broadway reprising his role as Hanschen in the second deaf-friendly Broadway production to date.

Also, he was the one to bring up the idea of a deaf-friendly production to Michael Arden (his friend at the time, now his fiancé), who went on to direct the show both in California and Broadway.
