Intro from the lesson quarterly: The Psalms are prayers and hymns of the Bible par excellence. Uttered in praise, joy, sorrow, and despair; spoken or sung in private and in the public by laypeople, kings, poets, and priests; coming from both the righteous and repentant sinners, the Psalms have served as the prayer book and the hymnbook to generations of believers. The book of Psalms owes its distinct role to the fact that while most of the Bible speaks to us, the Psalms speak for us and with us. The Psalms are a source of blessing, hope, and revival, a guide for both self-reflection and reflection on God’s greatness, liberating when one cries out of the depths, and captivating for a renewed surrender to God. It is thus not surprising that many people find the Psalms resonating with their emotions and experiences and adopt them as their own prayers. 🌏

Great panel this week bringing excellent insight to this week’s lesson. It’s fascinating that when we read about God’s people in the Bible, that we are seeing ourselves… whether we like it or whether we don’t, in faithfulness or unfaithfulness. May we let Christ lead our lives and receive the blessing of God’s promises through faith and obedience! Praise the Lord for HIS faithfulness!

How many were told in history class to remember these things so that we won't repeat the mistakes of the past and not repeat them? I wasn't. But we're/were blessed by God to clearly point that out to our decendants. Don't forget; remember; establish memorials; talk to your offsprings, to family members and fellow believers about these things. Do it diligently. Tell it in daily devotions. Talk about it at work (appropriately); in the market places. Let your day be appropriately saturated with it. In this way, it's unlikely that God's dealings with us will be forgotten. How have we done individually and as a Church? How are we doing today?

Unfortunately, as individuals, families and Church families we have largely forgotten our history--our real history. We are repeating the mistakes of the past.This is reflected in the fragmented condition of our Church. In its worldliness. In it's lack of spiritual resoluteness. In its missional complacency. In the numerous winds of doctrine blowing in the Church. But God! He is SO MERCIFUL Yet, let us not take His mercy for granted. We need to repent and turn and live. Help us Holy Trio!

Yes it's true that God faithful to is word. So we must be careful of what we do are not do. Are says are not said. Deu.28. Tells us that God punish. And he bless.also.
