Name:Rizza S.Perfiña Section: Block 1-F Answer: The three (3) phrases in curriculum creation are planning, implementation, and evaluation. "K-12 is bound to fail because the same structural and personal issues that have plagued Filipino students and the Philippine educational system for years are still present," says one curriculum developer. We have been against the proposed K-12 system from the outset. If it keeps ignoring the more urgent issues like corruption, a lack of school buildings, a shortage of instructors, low teacher pay, a lack of books and learning resources, it will inevitably fail.

King Ashley M. Catimbang 1A As a student who experience about the K to 12 curriculum, I can say that it’s really hard to do all the activities, projects and tasks that a student needs to do just to pass and have high grades at school. The high standards of the curriculum that pushes the students to their limits and the process of teaching that affects the students capability in learning and also applying the real purpose of knowledge has a big impact for every students that is belong to this kind of curriculum. As what we are experiencing now, it seems that K-12 is little by little having of so many struggles in implementing to all education platforms specially to the places that is hidden and far from the main cities or lack of educational support. Because of implementing it in a way of unplanned right, bright and properly and without having the correct planning system, it will lead to an entire and vast breakdown for all of the educational system that can put risk mentally, personally and academically to all students even the educators. So that’s how risky the implementing of unplanned K-12 curriculum in our educational system, to its educators, students and their parents.

NAME: Heizel B. Montiano BLOCK: 1F ANSWER: The success or failure of K-12 program can be determined by its outcomes and impact on the education system, students, and the workforce. However, it is true that any significant reform program should undergo a thorough planning and implementation process to ensure its effectiveness and sustainability. If the K to 12 program was implemented hastily without thorough planning, it could lead to several issues, including inadequate resources, poorly trained teachers, lack of infrastracture and other logical challenges. These factos could undermine the program's objectives and result in a failed implementation. On the other hand, if the K to 12 program was implemented with careful planning, sufficient resources and adequate support, it could lead to positive outcomes such as improved education quality, enhanced student learning and better job prospect for graduates. While it is crucial for education reforms like K to 12 program to undergo thorough planning, impmementation, and evaluation, it is not necessarily true that a hastily implemented program is bound to fail. With the appropriate resources, support and effort, any education reform program can be successful in achieving its objectives.

I immediately realized that this was planned, and that it also went through the sendo before it was launched. and some of the goals of k to 12 are to extend the learning period to be well prepared for college or work and to provide a broader knowledge of education. In this day and age, when you are looking for a good job, you are still looking for a college, which will ignore the K to 12.

Randy B. Perez 1-B Answer: As a student, I agree with the statement that the K to 12 program is bound to fail because it was implemented fast without enough planning . I encountered many difficulties and was unable to adapt to this new concept properly. Until now, I consider myself to be immature and unprepared to face the future. The implementation of the program had been rushed, leading to it being underprepared and underfunded. This has created a lack of resources and insufficient training of educators, which could lead to the program's failure. The learning environment was also not ready, especially by the time I reached senior high school. The educational resources were insufficient, and the teachers lacked preparation.

At first I thought this would be beneficial to me in college but until now, I consider myself unprepared. I still encounter various problems with regards in learning. The learning environment was not ready, the educational resources were insufficient, and the teachers lacked preparation. The K12 curriculum is not yet ready, which has resulted in a significant setback in Philippine education. We cannot just implement a program like this because of a mere due to the desire of some individuals to keep up with other nations. It's not that easy. Myrflor S. Another objective of this is for Filipinos to catch up and be competent enough to go hand in hand to the global standards. In this essay we are going to discuss the factors that the government didn't considered before implementing K to 12, like the financial state of Filipinos and the lack of equipments needed for the development of skills that the Senior high school needs.

Sepillo, Carmel Faye L. Block-1C In my judgment as a learner and in light of what I see. I highly concur that the upgraded K-12 curricula, given the issues it has encountered since it's launched, do have a high likelihood of failing. According to an article I read, there are significant issues with the Philippines' basic education system. For example, high percentages of primary and secondary school dropouts, a lack of proficiency in particular skills, and deficients results on standardized tests all point to the failure of the system. The revised curriculum did not makes things the situation better. K to 12 by DepEd could really be a failure.

Elaine D. Sumagpang 1A The K12 education system is a critical foundation for a nation's future. An education system that is implemented hastily, without proper planning, is likely to lead to numerous issues that can impact the success of the system. A hastily implemented K12 education system may not be equipped to handle the diverse needs of students. With a lack of planning, the system may not have adequate provisions for students with special needs or those who are struggling academically. This can lead to students falling behind and struggling to catch up, ultimately impacting their future academic and professional prospects. In conclusion, while it is impossible to say definitively whether a hastily implemented K12 education system is bound to fail, it is clear that proper planning and implementation are crucial for the success of any education system.

Crisanto F. Agot Block 1E "The K to 12 is bound to fail because it is implemented hurriedly without thorough planning" Answer: In my reflection, the K-12 Curriculum is doomed to failure since every phase in the development of a curriculum must be successful in order for it to be effective. If the K-12 Curriculum has already failed in the first phase, how can it succeed in subsequent steps? Planning is the most important step in creating a curriculum, and it takes longer than implementing and assessing since it involves figuring out what the kids, instructors, community, and society require.

Name: John Christian S. Caguicla Block: 1B (English major) The statement, "The K-12 is bound to fail because it is implemented hurriedly without thorough planning" is a strong statement that suggests a significant flaw in the implementation of the K-12 education system. There is no doubt that thorough planning is critical for any educational system to succeed. Inadequate planning can lead to a lack of coherence and continuity in the curriculum, inadequate teacher training, insufficient resources, and other problems that can undermine the effectiveness of the system. However, it is important to note that there are many factors that contribute to the success or failure of an educational system, and lack of planning is just one of them. Other factors include the quality of teaching, the level of student engagement, the availability of resources, and the support of parents and the wider community. It is also worth noting that the implementation of the K-12 system has been a long-term project, spanning several years and involving numerous stakeholders. While there may have been some challenges along the way, it is unfair to say that the system is bound to fail simply because of inadequate planning. Ultimately, the success of the K-12 system will depend on a range of factors, including ongoing planning, effective implementation, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

K to 12 in the Philippines covers kindergarten and 12 years of basic education to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship. As a k to 12 graduate, i must say that k to 12 education helps me to improve my skills and give me more knowledge about the course that i am taking right now which is ‘Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English’ (BSED). K to 12 led to higher quality education in the Philippines. It aims to improve Filipino student’s knowledge and skills. For almost 6 years that the k to 12 are still existing in our country i haven’t heard of it failing once. Yes, it is implemented hurriedly without thorough planning but it doesn’t mean that it as bound to fail instead it helped even more, especially for those students who are confused and still have no idea on what course should they take in college. Peradilla Joan H. Bsed 1B Answer : The curriculum is important in the education system yet it has a crucial part to make it more effective and relevant in any aspect of the learning process. Like what I've learned, in curriculum development, the experts should consider various reasons first before they come up with a successful, flexible, reflective, and relevant curriculum. Based on the statement If we're going to analyze the different situations happening around us like successful businesses and durable establishments, both of them have good planning processes that are the reason why planning is very important, in the K-12 curriculum it is bound to fail because it is implemented hurriedly without thorough planning, and I agree with that First, it's lack of preparation or planning wherein the expert should consider the different pros and cons of implementing the k12 curriculum Second, when they realized that we are the only country in Asia that has 10 years of education while other countries are already implemented k-12 curriculum, the Philippines was being dependent on the other countries, without considering if people in the community, the parents, facilities and the implementer of the curriculum are ready for the changes might happen. Lastly, the k-12 curriculum has the goal which is to ensure that after the students already finished the grade 12 under Tech-Voc they will have a chance to become employed but sad to that while they are looking for a job many of the companies prefer to hire a college graduate and that is one of the failure of the said curriculum due to lack of initial process of planning.

Regarding the implementation of K to 12 curriculum, it should have undergo more phases of trial runs or verification at selected schools to determine what problems does this reform may encounter before it implemented nationwide. Educators should be prepared and well trained about the new curriculum for them to teach it effectively. However, lack of teachers, classrooms, textbooks and resources was the problem of the old education system wherein, this is also a problem that the new curriculum is facing. If implementor did not pay attention to these common problem of education then, K to 12 curriculum may lead to its failure. On May 15, 2012, President Benigno Aquino III signed Republic Act 10533, often referred to as the Enhancement Basic Education Act of 2013, into law. In my opinion, regarding the mentioned statement wherein K to 12 is bound to fail because it is implemented hurriedly without thorough planning, I can say that it must not happen, but it's a must to be more improve. Many Filipinos often think that K to 12 Program is such a waste of money, effort and time but then, they haven't notice its benefits for the learners, especially now that we're still recovering from the pandemic. Covid-19 pandemic truly affected the field of education and as a result, it enabled the students to suffer from hardships only to attain a good quality of education. Currently, the schools in our country are conducting face to face classes, which will bring back the eagerness of the students to learn effectively. K to 12 Program plays its role significantly, that's why there's no reason to let it fail, just because it is said to be implemented hurriedly without thorough planning, instead, the government must offer effective recommendations and support for its implementation and betterment.

It just takes so long to implement this education reform. To sum it all, K to 12 is well-planned, designed, implemented and now evaluated. Name: Lorena M. Montiano Block: 1 B If the K-12 education system fails due to hasty implementation without proper planning, it can have negative consequences for the education system and the students it is designed to serve. One of the consequenses is disruption to students learning, changing the curriculum and teaching methods midstream can be challenging for students to adapt to, potentially resulting in lower academic performance and reduced motivation. Rushing to implement such a significant change to the education system without considering all the possible challenges and solutions can lead to negative outcomes. For example, schools may not have had enough time to train their teachers, procure adequate resources and equipment, or develop effective teaching methods to deliver the new curriculum. In conclusion, it is essential to plan and prepare adequately before implementing any significant change in the education system to ensure the best possible outcomes for students, teachers, and other stakeholders.

Name: Danilo M. Mascariñas Block: 1D Answer: The K to 12 Curriculum was introduced in the Philippines in 2013 as an effort to improve the quality of education in the country. The curriculum adds two years of senior high school to the previous 10-year basic education program, with the aim of preparing students better for higher education or employment. However, the implementation of the K to 12 Curriculum has been a subject of debate and controversy in the Philippines. One common criticism is that it was rushed and poorly planned, leading to problems such as inadequate facilities, lack of teacher training, and confusion among students and parents about the new system. There are several potential consequences of implementing a major educational reform without adequate planning. For example, it can result in a shortage of resources, inadequate teacher preparation, and a lack of clarity about the objectives and goals of the new curriculum. This, in turn, can lead to poor student outcomes, including low test scores and high dropout rates. On the other hand, some proponents of the K to 12 Curriculum argue that the reform was necessary and that the problems it faces are not insurmountable. They suggest that with adequate funding and support, the new curriculum can be successful in improving the quality of education in the Philippines. Overall, the success or failure of the K to 12 Curriculum in the Philippines depends on a range of factors, including funding, teacher training, and ongoing evaluation and assessment. While there are certainly challenges associated with implementing a major educational reform, it is possible that with time and effort, the K to 12 Curriculum could ultimately prove successful in achieving its goals.

The Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum is prone to failure because every stage of curriculum development must be successful for it to be effective. Planning is the foundation of all effective programs, and it takes more time than executing and assessing to identify the requirements of the kids, instructors, community, and society.Even before the K-12 curriculum's implementation, there has been budgeting for education. The lack of learning facilities, resources, and teacher training has long been a concern in the Philippines. Even the basic necessities for our education cannot be covered by the available cash. Prioritize initially the upkeep of facilities and teacher training. The dream of a promising simple work after graduation was not realized at a period when even many college graduates struggled to obtain employment. realizing that many businesses still do not hire K-12 graduates, which leads to the evaluation of more jobless kids. I cannot predict if it will succeed or fail in the end because I am just still a student, but it is true that there have been complaints about its hurriedly adoption without careful preparation. The lack of resources and infrastructure to support the K-12 system's implementation is one of the primary issues. The new curriculum cannot be taught effectively in many schools because there are not enough classrooms, teachers, textbooks, or other resources available. The quick adoption of the K-12 system has also contributed to a shortage of trained educators who are equipped to teach the new curriculum. This has caused a decrease. It is more than a change in curriculum, it requires a change of perspective, it requires a change of heart of those who will implement it and bring it to fruition. It requires our cooperation, our initiative and our own contribution to make the reform work; a fact that we need to agree upon. Everything needs to have a careful planning, plan that we need to execute in a manner that will benefit us all. Therefore K to 12 will really bound to fail not because of the curriculum but because of lack of educators to execute the process. Our government need not to hurry because we are already in an era where students are globally competitive, they relay on learning by doing, thus this wide range of knowledge give us the opportunity to be successful, nevertheless what we need to do is be more patient in every step of the way. Commission on higher education already commit itself to create a harmonious working relationship with educators, creating more job and making sure that they all provide quality education. Educators are around the corner making their way to succeed in their chosen field, we can now guarantee that this plan from our government will succeed, however implemention is the most crucial path that we follow. These given scenarios are fact, that without a good to go signal will fail us all. I therefore conclude that immediate implemention will really not lead to failure, rather it is an immediate adaptation of what lies ahead of us, change is peculiar and we need to deal with it, anyway we are in a society that has its phase faster than we thought and we need to immediately respond to it.

Maybelle P. Francisco G1 Because on the student’s side, the reason for success or failure of education in this country depends more on whether the student is interested to learn, and/or finds value in what they’re (supposed to be) learning. It’s a long overdue change. The original 10 year curriculum was meant to be a transition step in our education system, but somehow we never grew out of it till the K-12 was enacted into law. While the implementation has been inconvenient especially owing to the resistance to change, in the end this will hopefully produce more competent graduates who can proceed to collegiate, technical or vocational education, or otherwise be employable if they choose not to proceed to higher education.

If the K-12 curriculum has already failed in the first phase, how can it succeed in subsequent steps? Planning is the most important step in creating a curriculum, and it takes longer than implementing and assessing since it involves figuring out what the kids, instructors, community, and society require. All successful implementation and evaluation outcomes have planning at their heart. If the most urgent issues, such as a lack of classroom space, a shortage of teachers, low teacher pay, and a scarcity of books and learning materials, have not been taken into consideration during planning, it is certain that the effort will fail. NAME:jenny rose milaya SECTION-1-E With the multitude of social problems facing the Philippines, they are still being solved by the Filipino people, especially by our government. One of the main issues is the lack of quality education in the Philippines. It has been more than two years since the implementation of the K-12 Basic Education Program where secondary education was increased by two years. Unbeknownst to our government, many people have been greatly affected by this modern implementation even though the Filipino people know that K-12 will also bring good things. According to some students who came from the first batch of such curriculum, our country is not yet ready for K-12 because it was hastily implemented. There is a lack of facilities in other schools and students cannot be provided with enough classrooms. The seniors also argue that Filipinos can justify having ten years of "basic education" because many have also been successful in their respective courses they have completed. There is also a lack of budget in some schools which is why there are insufficient facilities to provide good quality education to the Filipino youth. Companies are also paying more attention to hiring college graduates than just high school graduates. The quality of education is not measured by the number of years of schooling. It still depends on the system managed by the education department.
