I disagree, because of the impact and strength in the tone of this Surah, the historical context matters, in fact it’s the key component to understand the original meaning and unbiased context of critical historical events. It’s not a very wise message to us learning to hear from the learned that the historical context of a critical historical event is not very important. The Tafsir here is very confusing and not very relevant. Do I now condemn my wife for sharing happy news with another wife that she’s very close with? Or should I condem her if she shares something that is embarrassing, with another wife about another women of your right hand. Is there a difference between how I judge between the two potential scenarios or are the two actions equal in disobedience? Historical context matters.
