Damn music theory is so damn confusing, thanks a lot for this. Alcest is a huge inspiration to me musically and getting closer to understanding their sound is amazing.
Hi, I'm a beginner, so I was wondering if you'd be so kind as to answer a beginner's question. I am learning how to play this song, and first I used another tutorial (Simon's), where he says the song's in E flat tuning. Are you playing the same notes or are you playing half step upwards? Cheers.
That's right, I'm in E standard since my guitar has a Floyd Rose. The original song is tuned down but kind of my point with this video is that it doesn't matter, because you shouldn't be focusing on purely memorizing the notes, but actually understanding the relation between them.
I see, thanks! I never got to understanding the key thing right, actually. Maybe that´ll come with time. I noticed Neige plays a weird chord sequence way up in the fretboard during the solo. Would you maybe elucidate what he plays, as a sequence to this video? I dont want to bother, though. Good content, cheers!
