in Liverpool in the 70's a group of teachers conducted a bold experiment that challenged the educational status quo and provided a unique experience for both staff and pupils, so where are they now in 1993
When I was a very young boy, my best friend was John Ord Jnr. We lived a few doors down from one another in Speke. I remember John Snr taking us for walks across farm land and telling us that if we stood in a cow pat, it would expload! Lovely seeing this footage - I feel lucky to have been around John and his family at such a young age. Btw if anyone still keeps in touch with John Jnr or Mary, please pass on my best wishes.
R.I.P John Ord. who passed away peacefully in Oxford today 06/11/2021 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 with all my love and respect ,dad see you again when I see you. Rest in heaven now.💐🖤

When a libertarian experiment failed because it made its admissions system too chaotic, the local papers while it was happening followed it gleefully, and BBC wanted to remember that story and do this 20 years retrospective on it, safely through conventional school head's analysis of it. When an authoritarian experiment failed because it enforced homework too cruelly, (Balfour House in Wales) the entire media ignored it and for 35 years the abused survivors have had no interest taken in our voice on school methods at all.
