It was cool meeting you as well, big fan of the channel! Most challenging match I've shot to date, definitely learned a lot of what NOT to do on this one!
I found the percent of the winners score interesting. I shoot service rifle. Last year I finished really well in the President's 100, 98.5% of the winner in the 30 shot preliminary and made the top 20 shoot off finishing in 15th. This year not so good. I shot just over 96% of the winners 30 shot stage and was 123rd place. The percentage idea is a fun exercise and informative and those percentage points really matter.
Nice summary and great tips! It was a heck of a fun match. If you're looking for suggestions for what glass to put on your tripod, it's hard to go wrong with Swaro SLC 15x56 binoculars.
I got a zero on the last stage of my last match from a mental error. I had a good laugh about it with some of the other competitors because getting mad about it only makes the zero worse than it already is. I went from Top 10 to it doesn’t matter.
Much prefer that style of course to one on a flat range setup. 3-D archery was much the same that way, terrain makes it interesting, and you learn something different every time out. That and a slightly warped group of people setting up the course, make for plenty of fun.
My longrange sickness, of all disciplines, has been with me for 55 years Thanks to my late Father, but, PRS & NRL Hunter takes it to a whole new level....ICU-level.....lol
