That's the problem with competition these days, the real competition is who has the most cash to buy the best gear. I'd much rather compete in a match where there is a dollar limit to your gear and the competition comes back to the skills of the competitor.
I am still amazed that I bought a tripod worth more than most of my hunting rifles, but the PRS game is weird like that. I went with the Leofoto SO-322C, which is a two segment model. I haven't regretted it yet.
One more factor to consider: weight.I would suggest buying the lightest tripod you can find. moreover, I would suggest trying out a tripod before buying one. A good tripod is not a cheap piece of equipment: do not buy it on the basis of internet reviews.
Correction: Using a tripod for a rear support did not make you a better shooter - it just made your scores increase in this particular discipline. In my opinion, the tripod rear support is the one aspect of PRS that really diminishes it (it's a cheat whether or not we are willing to admit it), and it thankfully seems to be losing popularity.
Quit winning make the shot: figure what made you stupid figure some more.repeat.un fortunately have to spend more time. Fooled u .you thought i wasn't going to spend more
