LNER have withdrawn their venerable Inter-City 125 trains (also known as High Speed Trains or HSTs), replacing them with Class 800/801 "Azuma" trains under the Intercity Express Programme.
As a special treat to fans of the 125, LNER partnered with UK Railtours to repaint an entire set in the original British Rail livery and operate a four-day charity charter tour of the East Coast Main Line.
In this video, I join the service in Edinburgh on day three of the tour and ride it through Newcastle, York and Doncaster, finishing at Leeds. Day one of the tour saw it travel from Edinburgh to Inverness, day two Inverness to Edinburgh, thee was Edinburgh to Leeds and the final fourth day was Leeds to London Kings Cross.
This video has no narration.
