Great job guys, best battle report/showcase of the game so far. I would highly recommend not moving the camera around so much as it get dizzying (at least for me). Shoot from a distance, find your target before moving in to avoid camera movement close up, and keep the camera steady :) Looking forward to the next!
Really appreciate this quick tip on camera work! I like to do POV battlereports which brings with it a bit of shaky cam of course, but I think this simple thing to keep in mind will help a lot, thanks!
Awesome to hear, glad you liked it! As I say in the vid, it really does seem well set up for mini campaigns in one evening, advancing your crew and strapping logs to your tanks, fiddling with the suspension, it's so fun. Took about 4.5 hours to do 3 games, including filming!
I believe this was a mistake on our part, we confused it with smoke and the penalty for snap firing because I couldn't find the rule when I went back and checked later.
Hi mate, good question! The career mode I can see being very fun if you wanted solo play, especially as there could be a random element to the chassis and skills of the tanks you fight against. They haven't included a specific ruleset in the book though!
I just ordered the game btw. So I will play solo 2 handed. I already have lots of Wargames but this seems very compelling in 54 mm. Thanks for the answer.
@@TheTheshadow32 Its very quick and all the tables for crew injuries, personality quirks, damage to the vehicles etc. should lend itself really well! Let us know what you come up with! o7
Totally fair enough mate, I know exactly what you mean, it drives me absolutely nuts when I see other channels not use a hard points cap on their lists for example! 1007 points...get a grip haha What I've realised as I've got older is it's all a matter of perspective, amazingly in more hardcore historic wargaming circles they look down on us for using points, if you can believe that! No commander in history was protected from difficult odds by a points limit, heck Hannibal would have achieved less glory if he wasn't outnumbered at Cannae!
@@plastikpanzerfactory6733 that's absolutely and 100% beside the point. If you have to change or remove rules to make a game enjoyable, the game simply isn't good. I have plenty of horrible games that are somewhat playable with house rules or rules from BGG, doesn't change the fact the rules I have bought and paid money for aren't good.
I get both sides, honestly. One of the main driving factors for me playing a lot less 40K was the constantly shifting goalposts, I have a career, family etc to manage and you know GW are going to change the rules on something before I've even had the time to finish painting it! yeah I can choose the rules I want but that's not the point, infuriating! On the flip side we all re-jig the occasional rule, order dice limits at many tournies are a good example, and how many heavy howitzer have you seen run? The rules are there but nobody wants to break the unspoken rule! I think when a game reaches critical mass on rules you disagree with it's just not a good fit. On a sidenote I imagine Achtung tournaments in the future will probably introduce a fixed amount of crew/asset stars for each tank caliber, which makes sense to me!
