The main difference is that gourmet popcorn is candy coated. You use sugar and corn syrup. That's why it stays crunchy. Cracker Jacks bags have that foil lining inside and the packaging is completely covered. The foil lining keeps it fresh for months and no the product is not exposed to any light.
