Richard Henry Pinwill Coleman (1888-1965), a pupil of Sydney Nicholson, began his career as an organist at Manchester Cathedral, where he served as Assistant Organist from 1908 to 1912. Most notably, he was Organist of Peterborough Cathedral from 1921 to 1944.
