let alone in the dark (2005) ending 

The song and the cat were the only things in this movie that made me feel something.

Even though this film has bad directing, bad editing and a confusing story of the Alone in the dark franchise , I still enjoyed this film for it's fun story.

This ending always confused me (and still kinda does). It says "city evacuated", but Carnby literally says here that when the Abkani opened and closed the gate the first time, the price that had to be paid was the entire Abkani tribe was wiped from existence. So, is the city _really_ evacuated or was everyone in the city (or the whole planet) wiped off the face of the planet? Knowing it's an Uwe Boll movie, I'm sure his answer is "yes".

No carnage? No fires? No body count? Everyone just upped and left just like that? WHAT THE HELL?!? IS EVERYONE AT DISNEY WORLD OR SOMETHING?!?

I thought when they killed the monsters in the cave and then escaped, that was the end of the movie. but NOOO...apparently, there's this OTHER group of monsters that was never explained or shown to us that attacked the city, resulting in a complete evacuation of the ENTIRE CITY ALL IN ONE NIGHT. WOW, that is a lot to buy, movie - that is a LOT to buy!

Explanation: In the game Alone in the dark:New Nightmare, in some moment you know that certain clan or tribe disappear whithout any trace. Later we know that these clan was a price or sacrifice for dont let the monster came to this world. And that occur in the movie The price for separate both worlds:light(us) and dark(monsters) was the disapear of people. I dont know if this price was the people from the city, country or all the humans.

I have just brought this dvd though 2nd hand as it looked really good when i watched it on Sky Horror Zone.

His movies are like what The Asylum movie would be if they were not self aware.

In my opinion it's mostly about the excitement of the film's drama.

What is the name of the city ?

This scene would be so much more effective if they had just gotten rid of that stupid piece of text. It wouldn't have saved the movie by a long shot, but it would be so much more unsettling and, ironically, believable to suggest that some supernatural force caused everyone to disappear than that they evacuated the whole city in one night.

Wow, way to rip-off Evil Dead, Uwe Boll. I'm serious, this guy can't make a good, original movie to save his life. He's like Ed Wood's spiritual successor.
